Same here, I do quite well with the Wii Wheel and have a golden wheel 2 star ranking, but maybe I need to try out the other control schemes to try and get in the 9000 rank points, I max out at 8500 ish and can never seem to get much higher :(

I wondered how you got those golden stars and things. using the GC controller just didn't do it for me after using the wheel. But strangely enough using it on Double Dash is brilliant. I guess you have to get used to using them again.

Can't imagine using the Classic controller, or the nunchuk. Weird. But willing to try it out for a laugh.

And Covey, I can't believe you're only getting to 8500 points. Man, I expected more from you ;) Lol!

lol im stuck round the low 8000s mark, party cos i havent played in a while, partly cos id have a string of gd results then get cheated by a bleu shell and lose a few 100 points lol

You gotta learn to love the blue shells, and to embrace them. try using words like mother ****** and **** or ****!!! ;)

Are you finding it any easier? It just seems more accurate/authentic to me. Glad to hear you've sold your soul to the Wii Wheel! ;)

Must confess, started using the GC controller more frequently, and can definitely see the benefits/advantages of using it ...

... But still love the Wii Wheel, and feel guilty for pushing it aside :(

I think it's great we've got the option of using so many control methods, and each seem to have their own quirks, plus points and downsides.

I always use the GC controller,
it's the most like the N64 controller which is my
favourite to hold.
The classic controller is ok but it is quite small and slips
out of my grip sometimes.
I really like the wii remote and nunchuck but it depends upon
which game you're playing (great for sports games, not so good for
driving games)

I hate using the wii wheel,
I would rather eat snot.

Can you imagine using the N64 controller on MK? Man, I loved that controller. The big fat rumble paks were awesome on - for example - Goldeneye, giving out a proper shudder, unlike the slightly feeble GC rumble :D

Me too, Karate Kid. I really didn't want to use the GC controller as it felt like betrayal of the wheel (and I don't like the wheel when it's angry) but I must say it's easier to do the wheelies and manual mode. But the wheel still calls to me ...

And anyway, good to see you back online. Hope you stick around :D
