So, this channel seems to be getting some regular updates, it's good to be able to see the upcoming releases and games trailers (Smash Bros looks awesome!). I'm really impressed by the DS download service. Unfortunately my wallet isn't impressed, as it's encouraged me to put Tetris, Mario Kart DS, Ninja Gaiden - and another one I can't remember at the minute - on my wish list.
It's still early days, but with the updates it'll soon become a tome of knowledge for us Nintendo fanatics. Anyone else using the service? And what are your thoughts on it? What DS downloads would you like to see?

I'm with you on that one, I never expected Ninja Gaiden to look and play so good. I'd like to see a Phantom Hourglass demo as I still haven't played it. It's all good, hopefully more companies will sign up to showcase their demo's.

I'll definitely buy it some time, I'd just like a demo to tempt me even more ;)
I wonder how long it'll be before it puts on people's ratings of games.
I haven't looked at this properly yet. I downloaded the channel and then ignored it - too busy playing games.

I've enjoyed the video's but haven't tried any demos yet. My gf tried the MK demo and said it was really good.

I'm not sure whether you have all received the updates on your Wii's, but you can now view lots of information on individual games, including what game suits which type of gamer (hardcore/casual) and also stats for each game, including total number of hours played and the average length of time each game is played per session. It makes for some interesting reading.
Wii Sports has been played for nearly 6 million hours up to now!! Scary stuff!!! Lol!
A welcome addition after the lack of updates these last couple of weeks.
More DS downloads please, Nintendo!!! ;)

Doubtful as the Wii lacks memory space at this moment. Maybe in the future, who knows? ;)

There's a Defend Your Castle promo trailer been added and a new downloadable DS demo of Iron Man.
Has anyone been checking out the game stats? If you ever wondered where time was going, that's a good place to start looking ;)

You've answered your own question, I was referring to the average times of games etc as displayed on the Nintendo Channel.

no thats not it.
You also have the option of allowing them to see which games you have and how long you've played them for. I think they'll be impressed at the 150 hours I've spent on Endless Ocean! lol!

Sorry, Junior. I'll give you more time next time ;)
No, what I meant was that you are allowing Nintendo to see what time you've been devoting to which game. I don't think it's possible to be able to see that data, unless you send them a letter and request those details from them I guess :p
It'd be good if they did allow you to see those details though. All that time spent playing with your Wii.

Seeing as these stats are based on the people who have downloaded the Nintendo Channel, it'd be interesting to learn how many people have actually downloaded the channel, as some of the stats on there are mind blowing for hours spent on games.

I've not had chance to have a look at the demo yet, but the 60% review in Ngamer doesn't do the game any favours. A wasted opportunity, they seem to think.
I'll have to check out those new trailers at some stage :)

I think the Nintendo channel's a great idea, (albeit really just one giant Nintendo advert!) but I'm a bit sick of Mr. miyamoto (probably spelt wrong!) being on the front-end going on about bl***y Wii-fit!!

Lol! Yeah they have milked it, haven't they? ;)
There are a couple of new DS demos on there, the Ace Attorney one is good fun, and an interesting introduction to the game :D
