This is such a great package, me and the gf are loving it. Those rigorous muscle exercises have made me realise how obscenely unfit I am. My actual age is 29 but I'm 10 years over that according to Wii Fit (I'm surprised it's not more!) I think I've about 2 stone to lose, can't quite remember the BMI figure at this time. But it's excellent. And something I'll use every day.

Not had a chance to play this yet (wife is away at the mo and wants me to wait until she is back before I play it:( ) . The board looks really well made and I'm looking forward to it.

I'll post my results as and when I get them.

Two things:

1.) Definitely get it because it's great, your misses would still enjoy the balance games and yoga.

2.) CONGRATULATIONS MATE!!!!!

Just did a two hour workout and feel great. The twenty minute jog nearly killed me though, had the finger poised ready to dial emergency services. But I'm with Huzzellio, buy this as soon as you can. Just watching gf on boxing now, ready to beat another one of my scores! Rah! Lol!

And congrats Local :)

Congrats to both of you local,

Back on topic, I had a go with this WiiFit malarky the other night, andddddd

First result:

BMI 28.85 Wii Fit age 62

Day after:

BMI same as (give or take a few ponts) Wii Fit age 48

So only one year older than actual,

Gail's got her Wii Fit age to 4 years under her actual age, but she has been on it every day. I keep on using the 'never got time' excuse.

A few days in now and I'm aching all over. But it's getting easier to do some of the exercises (and I emphasize 'some') so I think it's working. Managed to shed a couple of pounds and got my Wii Fit age down to 34. Which is +5 years so you're beating me :p

For a usually very lazy person I've spent 7 and half hours training, so it should be encouraging for other lazy people that this game works as a motivator. It certainly makes you think more about posture and diet etc in your day to day life.

Got this on Friday and I can't seem to get anywhere near my Wii Fit age to my real age (17).

My results:

Friday's Wii Fit Age: 42, must of been feeling old that day.
Saturday's Wii Fit Age: 24, getting much better but still a few from my real age.
Sunday's Wii Fit Age: 34, ahh twice my age.
Monday's Wii Fit Age: 24, joint best I got so far... can't seem to get any higher.
Today's Wii Fit Age: Freaking 32, this game a total random joke I swear.

Spent around 3 and half hours training since I got it; my BMI is around 17.2, slightly on the light side. More pizza while I try and do that single leg extension, that what I call fun. :D

Anyone work out the point in the Wii Fit channel?

How about we trade BMI's? ;)

The Wii Fit channel came in handy this morning as it allowed us to do our tests without having to remove Mario kart from the slot (so much for not being lazy! lol!)

Managed to shed 4 pounds in just over a week so I'm very happy so far. Been doing, on average, about an hours exercise a night, and can already feel a physical difference. I can actually do a jog of the island without collapsing in a heap on the living room floor. Anyone had a go at those muscle challenges yet? I managed to beat the trainer yesterday at the stretch challenge with a time of 80 seconds. Was shaking like a leaf! lol!

Accuratte forr u??

munkle
06-05-2008, 05:22 PM
I don't really see the relevance, Junior.

This thread is about peoples individual progress on the game, not local media opinion. Besides, how can a skinny kid be recorded as obese when the balance board only weighs a person? I have two sets of scales in the house and they read the same as the balance board. I'd be wary of the source of the article you read.

Hehe, thats no way in celebrating losing 2 stones since the year.

Don't think I'm anywhere near meeting my target and my freaking Wii Fit age is going up to like 26 today.

Anyone got a perfect centre of gravity then? I got it like once in 3 weeks, not too bad I guess.

Well done on the perfect balance. I've got 0.1% out (which was so close I swore at Wiibo!)

Dropped another 2 pounds today, close to my ideal weight category now so there#ll be tears by the end of the month! lol! ;)

Don't think that pizza was too bad after all, Franksta. Heh heh!!!

oh, as for Wii Fit age, bladdy thing was 20 for three days and is now up to 35. God damn balancing on one leg kills me!!! Rah!

I was very please with my perfect balance. As it was a huge improvement from the start. I was getting like 57% on the right foot. lol

You sure this pizza didn't put on the pounds you lost the other day?

Speaking of one leg balance, I know someone who cheats and holds on a chair while doing it. what the point in using Wii Fit if your going to do that. :D

You lucky person you!!! heh heh!! How are you finding it then? Those muscle exercises are killers, but great for toning up those flaccid bits ... (cough)

Lost a stone since having this, feel so much better physically. Not bad for 5 weeks work. Well worth the £70 price tag. I'm half a stone from dropping back into the 'ideal' category, but fortunately I'm 6' 4" so managed to hide those flabby bits pretty well ;)

I find it amusing that the person who started this thread has never been back to update us on their progress, despite us declaring our shocking physical conditions! lol! :p

Hi mate, nice to see hear from you after all this time. :)

I fell off whilst sober trying to do the yoga, the balancing positions are tough if you have bad balance like me lol

Hey no worries buddy ;) I haven't managed to get any lower than that yet, have you managed to get lower than your age yet? I seem to maintain a similar age, between 20-26. So not too upset with that :)

You'll get there, matey. What's your best on hitting the blue tiles? My best is 24, haven't had it again since though. It's at 20 now consistently.

Yeah, noticed those retro Mario's. Pretty cool. Saw one on the bridge and one on the side of a hill. I wish they'd make a paintball/war game based on that island, using your Mii's too, that'd be awesome. Don't know why I thought that ... :p

Getting back on track now after a humongous takeaway the other night! lol! Put 3 pound on but thankfully have shed it all again since. Have only skipped 7 days of 'training' in over 5 weeks. Haven't missed a weigh-in session yet.

Anyone else sticking to their training? Or is it just us? ;)

Shame there wasn't an online leaderboard for scores on the balance games. That would have been a laugh.

I've done a couple of nights so far on it, hitting at least 30 mins each time.

What do you think is a realistic time for losing 7lbs? I've done that as a start.

Oh, and my BMI is around 27!!! It thinks I'm obese!!! (I'm 6'0" and just under 15 stone) I have reasonable muscle bulk due to years of football, rugby and weight training. The BMI thinks I need to lose at least 3 stone, but realistically if I go under about 13st 7lbs I'd look like a wafer.

So my target is to lose at least a stone, in half stone amounts.

The average weight loss is about 2 pounds a day, I believe. 7 pounds in a day seems a lot, but I'd be quite happy with that! Lol! ;) The most I lost was 4 pounds in one day, but apparently it's healthier to lose it bit by bit to avoid a weight rebound.

What do you think to the exercises, there are some pretty daunting ones, but if you stick with them your body soon starts to get used to them :)

And good luck.

Still keeping a steady regime going, and now combining it with Dancing Stage Hottest Party and Wii Sports. Feeling the burn, baby!!!

Also, anyone noticed how your trainer's appearance changes over time? The male changer has grown his hair long and now has a pony tail. Freaked me out at first! Lol!

It must be really popular. Some people at work (and also my brother) are trying to track copies down, but with little luck. So are you going to try it out then, Suze? As it says on the game itself, sometimes more regular light exercise can be as effective as 30 mins hard exercise. I suppose there's only yourself who knows your limits.

If you don't see Coyster's score soon, I'll be handing out the discipline. maybe at the weekend I'll work on putting our highscores together and create a new Wii Fit high score thread. Plenty of people on here own the game, so it'd be fun to exchange our hard earned rankings :D

This game is so great for helping shed pounds quickly. Been on it for a week and already dropped 2 pounds. Back into the ideal weight category ... Now if I could just do something about these love handles ... :p

Btw, Eric. My Boxing score is in the 1200's, but I expect that to change soon ;)

Do you guys ever have any trouble with the "dodge right" movement?
Only works like 33% of the time for me.

Yep. It's a bit lame on picking up the movements. Both directions to be honest. I'd say that percentage is about right. it's the only control in the game that I find doesn't really work :(

And it's frustrating when it's nothing you've done wrong yourself. It's also awkward cos the Nunchuk/Remote wire can sometimes get in the way.

Oh well, it takes a woman to get it right :p lol!

Maybe we just need more practise, Boxing is probably the one I've played the least, god knows why cos it's really cool :D
