My wii, or not as the case may be

I orderd my Wii on the 9th of november, and its not due to release till the 8th of december (in UK) but with 16 days to go i receive and email saying that i will not be getting my Wii until later due to stock shortages, i was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem or is experiencing one now?

Do they need to ring you? maybe it's good that they haven't? i'm sure you'll be ok m8 store orders differentiate from online ones, they have a list of people, i think if they didn't think you'd get one they'd of said you arn't guarenteed for one on the 8th when you preordered it. Good luck anyway buddy. Nintendo didn't expect such high demand, they're making them as we speak i hear. This means good things for the gaming industry with new players, young and old, pro and newbie. At least it means more interest = more games = more interest = more fun :) 8)

wi has got loads of intrest!! my freind went shopping today, and he saw ques to try it out (lucky) and he said tht the wii line was twice aslong as the ps3 and xbox360 put together!! plus theres more wiis on ebay and the ques u see in japan for wii are near enough miles long, but theres only like 30 ppl in que to try a ps3 or xbox lol.

i was luck enough to go and pick one up on the night of release from my local tesco - no pre-ordering at all lol, i got messed around with the ps2 and ps1 releases with the whole, "guarenteed" pre-order thing, so i took my chances, queued for 2 hours and left with a machine..

Seems like loads of people are having problems with the deliveries of their Wii's. Even though the price i got mine from ebay was quite a bit higher (60-70) it seems worth it as there have been so many problems, i still hope everyone gets their Wii's before Xmas though.

I'll be sticking to AT&T. Have been with them forever, and love the perks like rollover minutes and simultaneous voice and data. I also get great service where I live (Louisville, KY), and have never had an issue (not even with the whole "antenna" issue). Though, I will say that I'm happy for the Verizon folks to finally be able to come into the Apple fold, and be a part of the great big Apple family. A buddy of mine, who is on Verizon, has been wanting an iPhone for quite some time, and now he can get one over there on Verizon. Agreed. I am often in areas outside the range of cells. I have often asked my phone to flight mode, just to keep the battery intact from cell to lack of funds. The Nexus 1 launched 5 months before the iPhone 4 and has similar internals that keep it in the running even now as well. Last year was the year of 1ghz processors and 512 megs of ram. If Moore's law states that computers will double in power every 18 to 24 months we are right on schedule with dual core 1 to 1.2 ghz phones with one gig of ram coming along now. I'm not certain that smartphones will continue that rate of advancement though. Unless battery technology improves significantly, and soon we will hit a wall at some point. There's also the fact that the software hasn't even caught up with the current generation of phones yet. Its been mentioned on Androidcentral that we'll see quad core tablets by August which may mean phones shortly after that. Although given the extra space in tablets for a bigger battery and the things people use a tablet for the extra power makes more sense there first.

The Rockmelt browser is quite handy,given the cloud transfer of bookmarks and links, although I would never use online banking or other secure websites through an application that has cloud functionality. The App version is a very well done interpretation of a browser, navigation seems quicker and easier than in Safari. I am tempted to put it into the dock of my iphone. The only thing I do not understand is what kept the Rockmelt team from making this a universal app with native resolution for the ipad. Polish? No and I don't think it will get better anytime soon. The os is to slow and laggy. It's been out long enough to fix. Ive had every iphone and loved them all. I tried a evo out and returned it after 9 days. Horrible battery life, lag, slow and there was a problem with the screen coming off the the phone. Usability?
