Its a good one, but I wasn't so lucky. I live in Scotland and there's no stock apparently here at all. Looks like i'll be queuing up nice and early tomorrow afterall :(

I tried calling Comet at about 4.30 and was told that they had no stock, I then checked back on the forum to see that people managed to get some after I called. Not wanting to give up, I called again and managed to snag a console and Zelda for 216.99GBP.

Magic, great tip guys as i've been after a Wii for ages now.

Wrathalanche - I also live in Scotland (Edinburgh) and never hit a problem when ordering. Give them a call again and chance your luck, it took me 2 phone calls before I got one.

Thats wierd. I'm in Greenock so even if all the stock is south of the border, there's no reason they couldn't deliver to both of us. Right enough though, my sister lives in Edinburgh and I could get it sent there if all else fails. I'll give them another shot!

I was never asked for an email address however, so no email receipt for me though =/

oh and another mate of mine got one and they said the man said they were selling like hotcakes and was counting down 47 left 45 left etc. on the phone lol

Afraid not here, but my order seems to differ from other people's also, in that I was not asked for an email address, and so recieved no email receipt. For delivery they just said normal delivery between 7am and 6pm this friday for me.

Maybe we all end up talking to different call centers, I know mine was based in Hull. Well, good luck :]

What do we do with the 8 digit number that they gave us? I also got no receipt, I could have done with one so I at least have some confirmation which just isn't a number that I don't have a clue what to do with. Did anyone get any tracking information?

In the end, I got the deal with wii play which came to £249.

I should be receiving mine today also. Still hasn't arrived, but they did say until 12. I e-mailed them yesterday and they confirmed that it will arrive today.

I wouldn't be surprised that at half 12 I ring up and they say it hasn't been dispatched yet.

On phone now, seems they cant evan locate my order :x they took the money though.

EDIT : Ok after being on hold for about 10 mins she came back and said she spoke to the delivery team and they said its due delivery today between 7am -6pm

not sure i believe her but we will have to wait and see.

Well, the Citylink van just pulled up outside my house. Driver sat on his mobile for 5 minutes, then drove off!

I'm expecting 2 deliveries today. One from Carphone Warehouse (who definately use Citylink) and one from Comet (who sometimes use Citylink). About to call my local depot to find out what's going on.

Really? I thought it was 7 and 12? I even got up at 6:55 to make sure I didn't miss the delivery.

They did say that they were updating their computers on Tuesday, that's why confirming the order took such a long time over the phone so that's quite a viable excuse. However, they don't seem to have an excuse for not delivering them on time. Unless they drive National Express coaches but I don't think that is the case.

WHAT A NICE OLD MAN! He was fantastically nice. He said it's due to come today, but it's couriers are doing it and he's sending me a cheque in the post.

I also called Comet customer services as i've not seen hide nor hair of my wii that I ordered on Tuesday, like a lot of you I was also told that it's been dispatched and should be with me anytime before 6. Also that's it's being delivered via Comet and not Parcelforce for some reason.

Guess it's the waiting game now.

Has anyone actually received a Wii from Comet yet ?

Yeah, it is coming today.

Because they breached the terms and conditions guidelines regarding delivery, therefore they refund delivery charges. I THINK COURIERS ARE OUTSIDE! Wait, no, just my next door neighbour's friend parking next to our house, well that got me too excited.

EDIT: Thanks to Wii-in and all others for the original Info, I'm confident everyone's is on their way now. Delivery guy apologised for being 4 mins late but by the sounds of it its up to parcel force to deliver them on time now as they have had the instructions off Comet

Yes i rang up and the girl immediately pt me on hold, turns out that even though i had an order number, they had taken payment, they reckon although stock was shwing when i ordered, when it went through it became out of stock. I managed to get one yesterday so wasn't all that bothered, but if that was my only route i would have been going spare. She didn't even have an idea as to when they would next receive stock. Pretty shambolic!

yep, i also tried comet this afternoon. they told me the same thing. also told me that no comet service anywhere in the country has any at the moment (stores or online)... oh well, back to the search

Good luck to those who are trying, stick with it as it's definietly worth it. Me and my girlfriend are having a blast with Wii sports at the mo.

Just had a lengthy conversation with Comet customer services.

The story is that the Wiis are coming in on one wagon, and going straight out on another. They are being packed/shipped manually. This is where the cockup with mine came from. I'm told that I still have a Wii, and that it will be delivered Tuesday. (I'm not holding my breath!)

In the meantime, I'm heading into York first thing tomorrow morning to push my luck.

Been on the phone to them three times now, first time they apparently mixed up the order with a previous one at this address which led to the delivery of my wii being cancelled, delivery has been rearranged for Tuesday next week.

However tues isnt convienient for anyone to wait in for the ENTIRE day again, so I called them back to change the delivery date. This time they told me in-fact stock was waiting to be unloaded from a crate of wiis and as such i was unlikely to get it before the end of next week and it was unlikly to be done by tuesday! good job I called back then or i would have wasted another day, and exactly how long does it take to unpack a crate of 93 wiis? I call back a third time just to see what they say: "It's down for delivery Tuesday". Sure it is. Someone from their home shopping section should be ringing me back about this tonight. I'm not holding my breath...

Don't wait for them to call back. That's what they promised me.

Call them back, and if you follow that phone prompts there's an option somewhere to complain about "any part of Comet".

Lady there was actually very apologetic and helpful. I'm still not holding my breath for Tuesday though.

same thing happened here i was told that my order got mixed up with someones other order for a washing machine and they cancelled my oder :-/ they then said they would give me a full refund not happy!!!

But then they rang me back and said we cant understand whats going on so i went through it and the woman said this is stupid your wii must be somewhere, so she rung off and went to look and she rang me back 15mins later and said she had found it in the warehouse and that because it was cancelled it was waiting to go back into noraml selling stock. BUT... She now said she knows its there and she has re-orderd it for me and i will have it on tuesday

my wii isnt here it was due between half 5 and half 8 i called comet at half 5 and hey assured me that my order was complete and on its way !!!

well eather mr parcel force is late or they have fobbed me off and now i cant call any one

well if it dont come then god help comet in the morning after a whole night of me being un happy :-(

Just got back from an extremely long day expecting to unpack my shiny new Wii and have a few games, and guess what - it never arrived! Thanks very much Comet!!

I never provided my email address (they never asked) so I couldn't check my order online, so thinking they might have got my order mixed up or failed to process it I checked my credit card statement. Sure enough the money was taken on the 2nd!

What is the point of paying the extra for a morning delivery if it is not going to be delivered full stop (I know they will refund the delivery). Surely a simple telephone call (they have my number) to let me know there was a problem and it would not be delivered is not too much to ask? After all, they were quick enough to take the money!

What a complete shambles!! :evil:

Argos is your best bet - I called at 9:00 this morning to check stock, and I managed to nab the last one at Chelmer Village. There are still five at Braintree if anyone is in that area.

my phone call's went as follow's:

930am today i rang the 08705 425425 number & was told that they will have detail's of stock at 11am ( now ) & also took my name & telephone number etc etc...........................

11am: i ring again, to be told that they will NOT be getting stock deatil's in, as they only get random email's with deatil's :? & that there only offering home deilvery due to the crappy stock level's from nintendo

this really is gettin beyond a joke now

i have just spoken to them and it seems the situation is thus:

-my order was taken, but no stock allocated to it, they took my money and didnt deliver anything
-i have rung up now five or six times and been told several things, i spoke to the complaints department just and they told me that too many orders were taken and that now they don't have enough however on different occasions by different people i have been told my order wasnt fulfilled because:

a) mix up with deliver numbers
b) waiting still on lorry
c) nintendo didnt send the right amount of stock
d) they took too many orders on tuesday
e) stock wasn't allocated to my order for some reason

I have been told that my order will be fulfilled on tuesday, that it should be by the end of the week, and now, that they havent the foggyest when i will see it

Total Shambles

I would be interested how you get on with the head office, when i asked about compensation for waiting in all day and my phone bill (have spent about 1.5 hours on phone to them) they said they didnt compensate for inconvienience, good job really

Actually, try writing to them. Companies usually get most concerned when people write to them complaining, so you may get money off your Wii purchase for the inconvenience. Worth a try.

my wii never showed yesterday despite being told by comet it was on its way

so i called comet back at half 11 i have now been told my order has been mixed up with washing machine !!!!!!!!!!!!!
hold on i have heard that before somewhere !

they appologised and told me they would refund resale my order and call me in 24 to 48 hours to rearange delivery

not holding my breath i did go a bit mad at the bloke on the phone asking if its common practice for there staff to lie but he couldnt comment

so now im 260 sqid down with no wii and no sign of it comming till the end of the week if at all so the serch must continue

My order with Comet has been cancelled (by me) and I'm in the process of getting a refund.

Spoke to a VERY helpful chap (called Phil), who says that it's all a **** up. No sh*t, Sherlock! They have -5 (yes, minus five) Wii in stock and no idea when they are getting any more.

No point stomping and screaming as they can't send me what they don't have.

Just spoke to them again and they confirm that it WILL be deliverd on tuesday, this is the 3rd person in a row now thats said that so hopefully :)

They didn't know when they would be getting any more. Only that when they came in, I would get a call, then would have to make another call to arrange delivery. Based on experience, there's too many factors involved for it to go wrong again.

you get the same thing with GAME, they dont know either or they just cannot be botherd to look or give you an answer :roll: either way it's really poor customer service being offered

in further news my complaint has been passed to the 'investigation team', who won't be around until monday, but who will investigate my complaint and see if they can find one (although i dont hold out much hope for this as there arent any anywhere).

I'm not holding my breath.

What i dont get is that there seem to be no links between the order side of the business (who took my money for an item they don't have) and the delivery side (who thought they would be able to deliver an item which is out of stock on this coming tuesday). Have they never had similar problems before.

Having cancelled my order at Play.com, i am now stuck, waiting indefinatley, without my money for comet to get them in again.

I have had enough now though and in any case i have to get on with other things, just gonna have to keep looking elsewhere and wait.

Unfortunatly as much as i complain they can't magic one out of thin air and i can only get compensation for my time by writing to them, which will involve waiting for my phone bill to come next month, so it seems there is nothng i can do.

I hope it does arrive for your tomorrow - I'd be keeping your fingers and toes crossed!!

I spent ages on the phone on Saturday complaining about their shoddy service for not delivering mine on Friday. They weren't too bothered by the fiasco and stated all complaints should be made in writing to head office. I couldn't even speak to a manager or supervisor.

Next Tuesday delivery was mentioned but when I pressed about it the response was they were out of stock and couldn't be sure.

Really, i was put through to a complaints line (although they were no use).

What I found funny though was that everyone there seems to be a manager or supervisor, I must have asked about 5 people if i could speak to someone in charge when i found their answers useless, only to be told everytime that they were 'quite senior' or a supervisor themselves. I think they just want you to go away.

the woman on the phone said because i had one but the order number was mixed mine is still around somewhere and she went off and rang me back 10 mins later and said she had located it and that its being shipped tuesday :)

call me stupid but i believe her and have faith in her :)

i have rung up and sent e-mails 3 or 4 times since and they all have come staright back and said yes wii plus zelda tuesday 7am-6pm :D

Well, completely unexepectedly and totally against what i was told by Comet my wii just turned up, good job i didnt pick another one up and i came close this morning and only missed out on John Lewis by seconds last night, but anyway its finally here. Good luck to everyone else still looking and many thanks to op.

P.S Still never gonna use Comet again

Bit harsh to say you would never use comet again, yes i was angry when they messed up but they were very helpful and got me one so who cares, and the mistake was the computers fault not theres by the sounds of it.

if they had just said, sorry but we have had a bit of a computer error then fine i would have accepted that, but they had to mess me around for hours on the phone, telling different stories and passing the buck, i didnt even know it was turning up today, i never got a dispatch email or anything.

It isnt the error that bothered me it's the way they dealt with it, but hey its here and i am happy, so i'll get on with my life somehow i guess lol
