Help with Shop Channel

Having put my friends wii on her wifi system I tried to go into the Shop Channel but kept on getting an error code which was: 209600. I have looked on Nintys support site but cannot find trace of this code.

All the connection tests said it was fine and we had a look on the Weather Channel and the News Channel which was ok, but it won't let us go onto the Shop Channel. Has anybody any ideas about this as I would like to sort this out for her and also I told her it would be really easy to set up and now feel like total liar.

Also, when I tried to go on the Shop Channel at home earlier this morning I was told I needed an update but when I tried to update it failed constantly and gave error code 32002 and said to try again later which I did with the same results. I am a bit perplelxed because I always do all updates as soon as they are available and haven't had any notification about this one. It won't let me in the Shop Channel until I have done this update so it's really annoying.

Sorry about this being so long winded but I didn't know how else to explain it.

Sometimes the shop channel plays up for no apparent reason, quite often it takes me many attempts to connect. If the forecast and news channels are working then I can see no problem with the wi-fi connection.

As for the update thing, I connected a friend to her wi-fi at christmas and did the updates. I found the shop channel had a different animation on the main menu so I got home and tried to update manually, there WAS an update! I had no notification of this from Ninty so it was a little strange. The only difference (apart from the animation) is there's an option to download software or 'gift' the software to someone.

Thanks Huzzy, it looks like we will have to keep trying, especially with the Shop Channel update. The maddening thing with that one is that it won't let me onto the Shop Channel until I have done this update.
