Weapons guide
pistol-obviously the pistol is the weapon you start off with and appears weak but if used properly the pistol can be a good weapona dnc an best the machine gun in fights.
Top tips
the lock on with the pistol only works when your quite close so if you have no other weapon youll have to use it in close quarters, just try to aim for the head, jump about and hammer R1 like there no tomorrow

Knife- the knife is a one hit kill if you hit the beah or body and is good to use in busy areas or if someone is just stood still e.g if their sniping.
Top tips
if your chasing someone and hes running back maching gunning you, depending on you rsituaiton you have 2 option 1. ge out another weapon and fire fight him, or 2.try and back him into a corner so you can knife him.

Machine gun-very easy to find and good for quite long range fighting,get you lock on on them and fire away always be moving ad jumping so they cant hit you as much.
Top tips
on courses such as fortress in the badlands try to get on the higher level and machine gun from from the top as its harder for them to return fire

Air strike (the green bioculars)- very useful for taking out tanks, and turrets but not very easy to find air strike is perfect to use in busy areas whith lots of people for maximum score.
Top tips
be careful when using this as you have to hold t in the same spot for about 3 seconds for it to work so make sure no ones around to knife you while your scope is on.

Sniper rifle- always a one hit kill, get in a quiet corner with a view on lots of people and use R3 to put your scope on. every now and then take your scop off and look around to make sure no1s around.
Top tips
if your trying to to snipe someone hoos running out your crosshair a few feet infront of them, and then wait for them to run over it so you cant hit them.

proximity mine-when it blows up it instatly kills anyone around it so put it in busy areas or where its hard to see so someone runs past it, very uselful in capture the flag or zones to keep guard on your flag or node.
Top tips
if theres an enemy tank or turret around and your team is struggling to take it down then you cant put one of these on them, it will take 1/2 the health off a tank and a turret/jeep/plane in one.
also try sneaking into an enemy base and put 1 on all there veichles so ther blown up as soon as they get in, this works especially well on planes as youll get 2 points.

Rocket launcher-very powerful, handy in most situations, hold in R1 for it to look onto planes and tanks does damage to jeeps as wekk

Top tips
in close quarters combat get one of these out and aim at at the enemies feet and if your lucky it will kill them in 1 with the splash damage

Flamethrower- one of the very best weapons, use it in close quarters and it will kill an enemy very quickly although i think it slows you down when running
Top tips
use it on veicles such as tanks and jeeps and it is very effective, its excellent in crowded areas in a deathmatch.

The jeep-The jeep is the fastest ground vehicle in the game is especially effective with 2 people on as the turret is good at taking out planes and tanks, also its good for running people over although the noise is sickening as you hear their bones crunch as you go over the top of them, the jeep is quite weak though as its built for speed, it will be destroyed by one proximity mine, and even a machine gun will do it damage, a tank can kill it in 1 and a plane can take them out pretty easily.
Top tips
Obviously use these in capture the flag games, because of there speed there really good even if they are vulnerable to heavy fire. Its bets if you have someone on the back to help protect you and/or 1 or 2 planes above giving you air support, also you could get a dropship to pick your jeep up and fly you back to your base.

The tank- although its quite slow the tank packs a mean punch, it can kill a jeep and plane in 1, 3 or 4 hits to kill a dropship and it can easily kill people although its quite vulnerable because of its slowness, a rocket launcher will take of ¼ of its health a proximity mine will take off ½ and an airstrike will kill it in one, grenades also do about 1/6 damage, there handy for protecting bases in capture the flag or causing trouble at the enemy base.
Top tips
Get a dropship to pick you up and drop you off at the enemy base to cause some damage. Also you can get another person to get in the top off the tank and he can help protect you (preferably with a rocket launcher) you can also use tank to run people over when your at top speed.

The dropship-the most powerful vehicle and best armoured, its best used when theres more than one person in it using the missile turrets, also its gun it especially powerful for taking out tanks and ground vehicles. You can use it to pick up other vehicles and take them to the other base in capture the flag, although they are slow and planes like to gang up on them.
Top tips
especially good n capture the flag as you can pick up the vehicle that has the flag and fly them back to your base, if you have 7 people in it using the turrets go and capture some bases as it gets you points as well.


The plane- the fastest in the game and able to get some very powerful weapons, hold in L1 with missiles and it will lock on to other planes and anti-aircraft/missile turrets press triangle to go into flight mode (but u probably knew that) and you can hold R2 to go slightly faster although if you double tap R2 you activate an insanely fast boost which is perfect to get to places quickly and avoiding missiles. The only downside is they are quite weak, a rocket launcher takes off ½ health but a proximity kills it in, a missile turret kills it in 1 and an anti-aircraft kills it fairly quickly.

Top tips
The gun on the plane is also quite powerful, and it homes in a bit on other planes, its also powerful against ground vehicles and people. Ill provide a separate guide to all the plane weapons. The only downside is you cant fly in the plane if you have the enemy flag.

It's on the PS3 and its almost worth the £300 alone.....well maybe not lol
I got the PS3 for Christmas and have to say its great value if you have a HDtv, it upscales normal DVD's to look much better on a HDtv and it also plays DIVX format. The games I have are ok, love playing Warhawk and I have COD4 but already sold Assassins Creed because it was boring, still love the Wii though ;)

My brother's got his PS3 set up with HDTV and state of the art surround sound etc. It does look and sound pretty impressive. There's no denying that.

haha! I don't mind admitting it, but I've no interest in personally owning one. The wii takes up too much of my life as it is! lol! It's like being a slave to Nintendo! And the DS. Gotta keep checking up on my Animal Crossing buddies.

But you know, for all both my brothers' obsession with graphics (both own PS3 and Xbox 360) one of them goes to his g/f's to play with her wii (matron!) and the other is planning on buying one (after 5 mins on Wii Sports Bowling).

Glad you're enjoying your giant shiny black brick Local, still reckon you should have done what I did and bought a.......erm.........giant white brick instead lol. To be honest I've not seen a lot of difference between the PS3 and 360 but Warhawk does look great, it's like a kind of Battlefield 2 Modern Combat which is my all time favourite online game.

Warhawk is nothing more than unadulterated shooting action.....and I love it but don't worry Huzzie, I'll mention nothing of the black brick outside these pixelated borders.....my fingers are crossed behind my back ROFL

Last night I was casually chucking some mines on the ground as you do, when one of my team drove past and I accidently lobbed one onto his jeep....of it went down the road and me hoping he drives into an enemy tank ROFL

i told you local a proximity only does half damage to a tank, and even if they jeep explosion did kill it youd get no points as youd have a teamkill
