Err, I know this sounds silly but my game discs have started to chatter quite loudly in the console when I am playing a game. First noticed it with MySims but now Metroid has started to do it too. Has anybody else got this and if so do they know how to stop it.

i have had this a couple of times ( still do sometimes ). Had it with metroid, galaxy and strikers. But everything seems fine so far. ( besides from the sounds )

Ok, thanks Eric. Maybe its something to do with the discs the game manufacturers use.

what i thought at first is that the wii got damaged by the overheating from wiiconnect 24.

I had that on forever, the the system did get really hot over night...not sure tho.

I think this happend to me when i was speaking to Ben last night.
It was a loudd bassy sound coming from the console when i put in Super Mario Galaxy.

I never leave connect 24 on overnight (apart from the odd time I forgot to turn it off), but it is on all day and doesn't seem to get too hot. I've got to admit to checking it occasionally when I heard about other peoples wiis' overheating.

Is it ok now. If it is going to break its better to do it before your guarantee runs out which I am getting is in approx 4 weeks time.

you must have touched it in a special place then i suppose.

I've also noticed this with Metroid its alot more than any other game.

You'll be lucky, they probably haven't got any either. Still phone them though then your complaint is logged.

Try and play them all and see what happens, especially wii sports as that is usually silent when running. It might just be certain discs and the wii is actually ok.

I compared the sound to my wii to the ones on youtube......It doesnt actually sound like theres.
Nothing is wrong with my wii at least i think so.

Just keep your eye on it. Its frustrating when you aren't sure if something is faulty or not. I suspect its just the discs used by the games manufacturers, which is just something we have to live with.

Hmm I think you're right. I will have to listen to it again and then make nintendo hear it over the phone.
