i think i will be a regular on this thread, who knows *hint*maybe it will become a sticky*hint* . I like most of them (having played most of them) the only ones i despise being 10 and 10-2 especially the later as it was the only final fantasy game that bored me i played it for an hour and didn't enjoy a second of it!

yh i watched a mate play it, and i didnt like it, he preferd it to 9, but i thought it was boring and not FFish

i understand exactly what you mean by not ff-ish. I loved the atmosphere and story you got with number 7. Damn that game took ages to complete. Have you seen the FF7 movie advent children?

I voted for 7 as its a great storyline and has some really good and exiting game-play..Also a very good game considering its platform is Playstation 1.

8 was a very big differance and a very cerreal type of game play but had a very big effect and had some great graphics.

yeah it had some good cut scene graphics and decent in game graphics too, same as 9, had great cut scene graphics and good in game graphics

never played any of them. I'm thinking of getting the one for wii when it comes out though. do I need to know the story from the others or can i just pick up and play?

You could just pick up and play if you wanted to as each final fantasy has a different storyline for each, You could maybe try out some of the older ones to get the hang of the game play though.

My suggestion is try 7 or maybe one of the newer ones like 10 or 11.

You'll probably be okay just playing the game first of anyway jus thinking it would be easier if you knew abit about the final fantasy style of gaming.

final fantasy always have a different storyline in each of their games, and different characters, the only exception is X and X-2, but final fantasy crystal bearers will be new story lines and characters

Final fantasy crystal bearers is already out for GC and i liked it. Hopfully it'll be more like a FF game on wii.

It was ok just up a bit boring, bit repeitive. More of a building up skills by completing dungeons over and over and getting better weapons so you can do with last dungeon.

I've only played 7, 8 for a very short time and 11....

My favorite is 7 - and I would love to see it come to the Wii, using the classic or the Game Cube controller.

I thought 8 was alright, but didn't play it for long...

11 is the worst game EVER - it is bloody boring, it is slow, and frankly it is horrendous! How could they make an FF game like this?

I remember when it came out on the PC, there were thousands of people playing it - I didn't play it for a few months because it kept dropping out and I got bored sitting there for HOURS with my little flag to say I wanted to join a group.... I don't like games that rely on you HAVING to rely on other people, especially people you are highly unlikely to meet. This game has permantently put me off MMPORPGs or whatever the stupid abbreviation for online multi-player games is. You'll be lucky to see anyone if you log into the game now!

I will never ever play it on the 360 either - its bound to be the same shoddy game just repackeged.... Now if only I could find my blooming manual so I could cancel my subcription which I am still paying for...

Does anyone have this game? If so can you post the phone number up for the UK based department, so I can phone them and tell them to stick it.

The only other FF game to get my scorn is FF Tactics on the GBA - goddamn awful game.

i do really like all those ff games they are amazing but i just have to go with ix it is the best final fantasy in my opinion

As the votes suggest...FFVII is not only the tops of this poll but in my opinion the greatest video game of all time. If you haven't played it yet you haven't lived....I played it through twice.

guys, ive played ff7, ff9 and ff10 and i will be getting the newest one thats coming out on ps2. ff10 has the most amazing graphics and a great twist about 2/3 into the game and an even better one at the end. Ff7 has the best plot and amazing longivity, but ff9 had an okish plot save the end (an end boss whom you've never met in the game before? odd...) but the non cut scene graphics were poor. Oh and kingdom hearts 2 is teh bestest :)
