Yeah amazon have been very good. When xbox got released there was a huge scandal because Amazon basically did the same as HMV and Play did, taking endless pre-orders knowing they wouldnt get stock in for ages. Looks like Amazon are only taking orders for stock they know they have. Much better system.

I've been looking for a Wii everywhere, and when I saw this topic I went straight back to amazon (almost got one with Amazon earlier, but by the time I got to the checkout they had all gone!) and kept refreshing the page, about the third refresh and I was able to buy one, YES!!
Thank WiiFind, and thanks topic creator otherwise I wouldn't have checked Amazon again and would have given up on getting one till next year!

Well after all this amazon seems there will still be disappointed people as it seems amazon are now going back on the shipped tomorrow b4 1pm. Mine has not been marked as dispatched so I rang them, turns out they couldn't be arsed sending it now and I will not get it until the 28th so must for express delivery.

After I praised amazon for sorting there stock I now have to say they are fecking usless when it comes to delivery. If the site stated 1 oclock next day for express they should do that the haven't and said we will refund you the 7 pound odd. NOT HAPPY!!!

Hey all, new to forum although been looking here for a while.

A_Jam_Sandwich.....I know what you mean. I was lucky to see them in stock on amazon this morning about 10.05am and bagged myself one....express delivery for tomorrow..

All was going ok, but when I checked status again it had changed to dispatch on 27th, delivery 28th!! Was on the phone str8 away, but sounds like I got same response as you.....basically they would refund the £7.00 delivery but their warehouse were unable to confirm stock level....guy said at least I had one on order.....not much good though for christmas day playing!!!!

I was told the wii and points would be here tomorrow. So far only the ponts have been despatched.

Tbh I can quite understand it because if you looked on the site it stated you have xx:xx:xx time for delivery by express before 1pm that time count down was 5:30pm so i'm very much going to complain still a chance it may come though doubtfull I rang them at 4:50pm and they told me dispatch say 27th for delivery 28th. Starange 4:50pm is before 5:30pm so we'll see. If it is the case of no delivery then, well amazon told a blatent lie!!!

Mine also saying ITEMS DISPATCHING SOON - Delivery estimate 28th December.

I also ordered Red Steel with the order.....and they have somehow managed to send that out........express delivery....which im sure i'll get charged the delivery cost for.....WITHOUT A WII TO PLAY ON!!

Oh Well, off to drown my christmas wii sorrows (happy though that I have got one on order - as long as it turns up on 28th).

My wii still says estimated delivery on the 23rd and the Zelda specifically states in red it will be sent after the 25th.

Ok guys, i got my wii off amazon from the wednsday batch, now i didn't get my dispatch e-mail till 10:06pm over 12 hours after i ordered it and it arrived yesterday at 11:58am so wait till about 10:30pm and if not then be disappointed, but look on the bright side your still gonna get a wii before new year :)

Same problem with me. I ordered one for my family and my delivery date says the 4th :shock: Apparently express delivery wasnt enough :cry: On the plus side I called Amazon who claimed that the online infor was not correct and that it is ready for dispatch. Think they will deliver on chrismas eve?!

Hi Jam!!

I received a dispatch note at 10.48 this morning to say my wii has been dispatched via City Link. I can't track the parcel though yet for some reason....but Im hoping that all is going ok.

Was thinking of going to the local citylink depot if i knew it was there....but can't tell yet.

I will let you know if it arrives tomorrow. Hope you get some info on yours soon. As you say....Amazon seem to be useless on this occasion...they have charged me for the express delivery, even though they said they wouldn't....

mine hasnt arrived yet either. very sad. i pre ordered with currys and they have no idea of when it will come in. bit disappointing as my birthday is in a few weeks and for my birthday i was going to get games for it and my sister was going to buy me a extra controller for christmas, so for christmas i got a pair of socks and slippers and that was all. sad christmas i swear!!

Unlucky Kim. Currys is owned by the same group as PC World and I heard that they have a massive stock allocation in december/january so I dont think you will have to wait for long.

You might be able to pick one up quicker from Amazon or an offline GAME shop.
