Greetings everyone,

I was thinking that all this movement when swinging the remote around must have some sort of detremental effect on the controller.

Does anyone know how long the Wiimotes are supposed to last?

Cheers

i've been thinking the same thing, and i honestly don't know though i have a feeling the cord between the nunchuk and wii-mote will be a major breakage point.

just sent an email to Nintendo's Customer Services/General enquiries people. Hopefully I'll get an answer :)

Just to let you know the cord between th Nunchuck and the Wiimote is at a big enough length, and also the Wiimote should last you forever unless you drop it or anything because it was made for swinging.

sounds good to me, and think the chord is 3 feet, so unless your pretending to be an aeroplane with wings that sring oout really quickly, theres not much chance of snapping it

i know the length of cable between the controler and nunchuck is more than you need really just for that reason of it snapping. if it was any longer and you may just be able to use it as a skipping roper.
about the remote lasting, why not, the older console's controlers lasted, you newer console controlers lasted, just because the wii's controler is being swung around, (through the air) doesn't suggest that it will not last for as long.
