Halo 2!!!!!!!!!! I REALLY NEED HELP

I need to complete halo 2 before i can get halo 3 with my brother. We are planning to play Halo 3 together. But we just finshed Halo 1 with the best ending level ever on cooperative mode but in halo 2 we are having trouble to play it because of the vertical split screen. There has to be a way to play it like the Halo 1 split screen horizontal.

Ummm not too sure, but I read this off the net which you could try "To get it horizontal you must change your Xbox's screen display - if its set to "Widescreen" then the split in the screen is vertical, otherwise if it's set to "Normal" (4:3), then the split will be horizontal." Not too sure if this will help you out.
