ive just read on www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk (http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk) tht classic neo geo games will be coming to the virtuall console costing 900 wii points each.

can any1 tell me what exactly a neo geo is?

Read about this coming to Wii a while ago (although it's only just been officially announced for Europe). Neo Geo is basically the console machine from SNK that had the same technology as their arcade machines. It features Metal Slug and Fatal Fury (beat 'em up) etc. It has quite a following and features some really good games.

They are all great arcade games and the console cost a bomb LOL. You can get these games ROMs online and they are easily played using a MAME emulator.

totally awesome fighting games, they are worth playing still

I think the Metal Slug series are still some of the best side on platform/shooters you can play (and the most stupidly hard lol).

You're right Local, the Neo Geo cost about $700 when it came out!! Crazy money even by todays standards.

Art of Fighting (I think that's the name of it) was an amazing 1 on 1 beat 'em up in the arcades. I used to move between that and Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting all the time.
