So apparently it makes the blue light glow when you insert and remove the disc.
Here's a thought, if the shop channel has been overhauled does that mean you can now exchange your VIP points for Wii points in the shop?

There is also a new message that appears when you attempt to manually update from the wii settings. It mentions modifications not working.......... and do you want to continue.

It appears already we have another update to fix a couple of issues, mainly a bug in the Wii's opera browser channel that led to the Wii crashing.

Came downstairs this morning at 6:30 to find the blue light flashing. When I checked for new messages, it was one from Ninty saying to update again.
This one only took a couple of minutes though.

Hi guys
have just plugged a USB2 keyboard into the wii and it worked perfectly well. Thank God, I didn't fancy having to select every letter with my wiimote
It wasn't an expensive one, paid about 6 quid for it from our local computer shop.

Thanks for the feedback as I have yet to try it out for myself. At least it means we don't have to spend more ££ on a Wii keyboard:)

yh but a proper wii keyboard would be cool, maybe it could be wireless and use the same tec as the remote
A proper wii keyboard sounds ok, but where do you put all these things. A keyboard, a Balance Board, a Steering Wheel, at least 2 wii motes and a nunchuk, not to mention all the hundreds of games we are all going to end up with. Think I will stick to the keyboard we already have.

Chances are Nintendo would make us pay through the nose for one though.

I reckon we'll have to buy a great big stand that we'll use to store everything.
Yes, it does work with messaging, as I was writing you a message at the time, but it wouldn't let me send it 'cos your number was still greyed out in my Address Book.
Somebody who is handy could actually design a great stand and make loads of money to buy new games with.

It is a little off-putting using the wii-mote to reply to wii-mails (and sorry, Franksta, I will reply tonight) so the keyboard sounds like a great addition to the Ninty hardware family. Storage is a bit of a nightmare, but it's good that people are being accomodated by having these provisions. People with big rooms with any luck! ;)
Also, I've noticed since updating the software, which ironically is supposed to prevent this problem, I've noticed my internet is freezing hell of a lot more than before. Any one else having any trouble?

No problem Mucks, I message you back later todays.
Does any one know if a cheap £2.99 USB keyboard from CPU catalog would work on the Wii?
I haven't notice any problems with the internet channel lately, but there was another update for the internet channel problems which some people was meant to have when I got back from holiday, maybe you need to update again.

my wii froze when i was on the internet channel the other day
my wii froze when i was on the internet channel the other day
Same happend to me, 4 times in total so far. 3 before the patch and one after.
Yep its froze on me a few times, plus its seems to take its time when im selecting a channel, the screen goes black for about 45 seconds. Plus i noticed the clock is fast, my wii is coneected 24/7 so i would of thought it would have kept the time up to date. There must be somewere in the settings to change the time. I'll have to have a look

May sound selfish but glad it's not just me! haha! But it's annoying, I'd say it freezes 1 in five times I load it up. And what's with the Shop Channel? I swear i can complete Resi Evil 4 in the time that sucker takes to load! (Slight exaggeration maybe!)
