Stars = Points

Just been checking Nintys web site for info on a new error code and found this>> (http://wii.nintendo.co.uk/30.html)nugget of information.

All those who've registered their Wii's, and software at Club Nintendo, just might be interested in the 2nd paragraph.

"So you could be buying new Wii Points with the Stars you get from registering your Wii system and software!"*

Sounds good that we are actually getting rewarded for buying their games etc good on them. however yes how long will we have to wait, no doubt at least 6 months as after all we in europe have to wait forever.

Just registered a few of my games and have 955 points. Do you know whether you get more points depending on the value you spend and also have you registred your wii? thats all im typing 4 now cos im doing it on my wii and it takes forever lol

You get...

200 points for registering with Club Nintendo.
500 points for each console, Wii, DS etc.
250 points for each game. (Doesn't matter on the game value or for what console)
5 points for each time you visit the site, but limited to 5 points a day.

So straightaway you can get 950 from the basic Wii package, of console, Wii Sports and registering.

One other thing though you have to link your Wii shop channel to your Club Nintendo account. I think you do that through the Wii shopping channel.

This is correct.

Once you have done this then it registers each download from the VC in your stars account, although it has yet to show us how many stars we will get for each VC game purchased....

there have been some rumors about the star value. One was 4 star points for 1 wii point. Another one was 1000 star points for 800 wii points.

I hope they announce some more news about this soon.

So far I've got 8,180 stars, but that only because their never been any think half decent to spend your stars on. And why the shizzels did Resident Evil 4 comes with 250 stars?

Hopefully when they convert the Stars into points it will be good, then I can get some classics what I been waiting for and can't afford at the moment. When do you reckon this will happen?

I've got about 2000 points... I wish I knew about this before, theres been a few games I've returned without registering... At the moments there's nothing really worth spending the points on...

I thought u only get stars for ds games... well ill try my wii games for getting stars thxs!:D
