Arrrgghhhh
Just played someone called Danny and this fella really gave me a good whooping which I don't mind.. LOL... but all his goals were scored by Dry Bones teleporting into the goal or coming in from the side teleporting past the keeper and then a simple tap in.... I had no answer for it just waved the remote about like a lunatic for 6 minutes... I was so tempted to disconnect.. LOL... but I resisted...
His team consisted of Donkey Kong, Dry Bones, Dry Bones and yep you've guessed it Dry Bones... LOL...
Has anyone got any tips to combat this I was just totally helpless...

I played that guy but on the Dump. With my slow players I took a right kicking. But I do use his tactic on occasion now.
I think the trick is to put your players halfway toward the corners ready to stop a centre attack OR the corner attack. (Don't forget, hindsight is 20/20!)

Right... looks like I'm gonna have to work on my defence...
I played against a guy who had Mario and Dry Bones x3 earlier - in fact, he's probably the 3rd or 4th person I've faced who employs 3 Dy Bones' - I seem to attract them!
There isn't really an effective 'counter' to your opponents selection but I did find a pretty standard tactic to use against such a team.
Basically. Don't allow them to pass or charge the ball up. lol.
I'll explain.
The higher the ball charge, the further the Dry Bones teleport - hence why he's able to bypass your keeper so easily - I'm guessing the guy you faced kept chipping the ball around, passing it back and forth? Well, hopefully your team is capable at defending because what you're going to have to do is sit back and let this guy pass around all he wants.. (not allowing him too much 'charge up') ...then as he enters into your defensive quarter, barge barge BARGE!
The key to beating this sort of tactic is possession. You're going to need a team that can keep ball but also prove powerful at attacking. The Dry Bones selection lacks shooting power, so breaking up your opponents play and countering with a Birdo or Hammer Bro is pivtol to any victory/defeat.
I primarily use Waluigi, Hammer Bro, Birdo and Dry Bones. I sometimes switch Birdo for Toad if I think a map like 'The Dump' or 'Sand Tomb' will come up (giving me more pace). This team works well agianst the DB3 tactic as it accomodates both possessional players and power players.
Monty Mole would be handy as his tackling can cover large areas quickly - I don't really like him, too slow, but if i had to place him into my line up, he'd replace Birdo (keeping Dry bones due to pace)
Winning against the DB3 is about controlling the space your opponent has to play around in, don't let him pass freely in your area - you might give away items too easily, but as long as you close down DB quickly, you'll stop the goal leakage :)

I think they should allow goal keepers to block the teleports or jumping pass their goal keepers . Dry bo ne and toads are only defenders http://www.wiifind.co.uk/forum/images/icons/icon8.gifhttp://www.wiifind.co.uk/forum/images/icons/icon8.gif

i don't mind people using it. i hate it when it's the only thing they ever try to do.
