I've got a runescape account on laptop, nephew set it up so he goes on it. I started to play it but not been on for months. He goes on with his own pc, even think he's a fully paid up member as well.

As quoted from the website:
There are dozens of first-person shooters, strategy games, puzzle and adventure games, even board, and puzzle games.
Several regions of the world have been devoted to role playing, and resemble medieval towns, or futuristic cities. The building and scripting system even enables Residents to create their own version of a MMORPG, including hit points, character stats, and all the other classic elements.
Since gamers are a big part of the Second Life community, friendly games of combat are a regular event, especially in the official free-fire zones of Jessie and Rausch. (Weapons and combat vehicles are available for sale throughout Second Life.)
I visited Warhammer 40K island where gamers where blasting the hell out of each other. Some kind chap gave me a health meter so that he could use me for target practise lol

I was in a clan to play the Call of Duty series online. Also play Battlefield 2142 but not so much lately.

I'm currently waiting for Huxley to be released on PC later this year. MMOFPS. :)

Problem is with these things, once you get hooked you become HOOKED! I avoid getting involved in online RPGs cos i know my body will zombify and the real world will take 2nd place. Damn this addictive personality.

Well, i played Runescape a bit but then in my opinion realised that compared to world of warcraft it was poor, so i played that for two years instead :D but it was just too addictive so i quit, then i went to various free online games. Gunz, which is great fun for a 3rd person shoot em up, i'd recommend it for the play style, dodges and swords and stuff. Space cowboy, it was ok fun for a while but then repetitive.

I played a few other Rubbish free online games... then i bought Lord of the rings online which is basically a clone of world of warcraft but newer funer, better graphically and i did really enjoy playing with my hobbit burgular :) But i got quit that cos i had exams, which are over now but i don't think i'll play it again because i don't really want to get hooked and i know i will because it's like a better wolrd of warcraft.

I've thought about going back to WoW before, for the burning crusade etc. but it annoyed me because i basically played the game for over a year at the top level, i had all of the wicked weapons and armour and could stand up to the best on my server. Then the burning crusade would make all that time irrelavent making the level cap 70 and making all the hard earned equipment inferior to level 61 quest items which were greens compared to my epics!

So that really annoyed me and i didn't want to play the burning crusade for another year getting all the new equipment and then have Blizzard release the next expansion which from what i know is this/next year and i would end up getting to lv 80 and getting more equipment and would play the game to death. So in the end i would probably play it until Blizzard release another game like World of Warcraft 2. So i'm not going back, and i recommend that no-one starts it. I think Blizzard are really good developers though, i mean i love warcraft 1,2 and 3 but i think with WoW they made it almost too good.

Anyway i'm sure i'll play MMO's in the future, but i get bored of them too quickly now because i don't want to get addicted to any of them.

Online games are the reason i dont play my wii enough.
I've been hooked on too many...
CS, CS:S, BF2, BF2142.
Legend of Mir (and various of its private servers!), WoW, even done Runescape, Gunz, Flyff etc etc.
Im afraid i find consoles hard to match up to the community of an online mmorpg.
