I just wanted to discuss this Classic joypad that is going to be available. i think its a great idea personally! Who agree's? Of course people are going to want to give the Nunchuck and remote a go! But its always good knowing that the Old Classic joypad will still be there when you need it.

how many games will need i suppose is the question.

one of the main features of the wii is the controler and nunchuck. plus alot of the games take the controlers and use it to the max.

the only reason i can see me using something rather than the wii remote is the GC controler.

is this other remote just for certain games or does it work with all wii games is a question as well. i'l try find out

The old-school controller is only for the Nintendo gamecube and the games you can buy with Wii points on the internet. No Wii games will be compatible with this controller.

that settles it for most people then, because i think alot of us will have GC controlers to play with.

do you think its just a way of selling something as an accesory for the wii?

SuperJario
16-11-2006, 06:22 PM
Oh right, Yeah i think it is! I was actually hoping that this controller worked onn all Wii games but ok lol.

To be honest i dont really like the look of this new style of playing a game, Id rather just sit down relax and enjoy a game using 2 hands but hopefully ill get used to this new Remote and Nunchuck thingy.

Well i'm not too bothered about the classic controller. I will be getting some classics, however i'm more looking forward to using the new controllers with my family for mulitplayer and mates. However i also think that the new controllers will be good for pro gamers or heavy gamers, such as ourselves.

SuperJario

With this new control technology its gonna be so fun with family and friends during multiplayer on alot of games, Espesually games like Super Smash Bros: Brawl & other fighting games.

Foz
24-11-2006, 11:45 PM
i love super smash brothers, when my m8s come over we still always play melee, so when brawl comes out its gonna be so cool

Foz did you ever play the first Super Smash Bros on the N64? What did you think of it?

Foz
26-11-2006, 10:20 PM

SuperJario
27-11-2006, 06:32 PM

budtom
27-11-2006, 06:39 PM
You haven't played melee? seriously go buy it, that game rocks, even playing it now is fun, it's just so amazingly good

SuperJario
27-11-2006, 06:42 PM

budtom
27-11-2006, 06:43 PM

SuperJario
27-11-2006, 06:49 PM

you just cannot have a state of the art console without going back to basics and bringing out a classic version

This has been bugging me for a while and now ive finally remembered to ask those of you who have a Wii,

Can you use the Classic controller on new Wii games like the new Zelda? - I wouldn't want to use it im just curious.

budtom
24-12-2006, 05:52 PM
i haven't tried, but i think that thats a no mate because it would say on the box and it would be really silly because it would be like the GC experience and you can't use GC controllers just for the fact that nintendo what you to buy both to play both versions. The remotes work better than any old sony, xbox, or GC controllers.

SuperJario
24-12-2006, 06:33 PM
Okay thanks budtom, yeah i fort so anyway it would be stupid really.

Rob
24-12-2006, 07:19 PM
2 things
agree with budtom, can't use classic with other wii games, partley becasue they want to make money and so they can sell two different types of controlers.
number 2 how many times have you got me and budtom confused? lol

SuperJario
24-12-2006, 07:24 PM
Haha quite a lot of times, i dont mean it i dunno what it is its just you both have the same points of view and talk the same so some how i must get confused :? I wont be doing it nomore lol.

budtom
24-12-2006, 07:34 PM
I think that for smash bros you can use the GC controller or the classic just because it'll be a hell of alot easier to control than the remote.

I am meaning to buy one but i cant be bothered to go out and buy points right now. Although i already have Sonic 1, Bomberman and Super mario bros i just use a Gamecube controller or tilt the Wiimote sideways. I am looking to buy it soon though!

i'm thinking of buying the points off the wii shopping chanel, for 2 reasons; 1) i'm incredibly lazy and 2) its slightly cheaper
1000 points for £7 instead of 2000 points for £15

as ive posted in another thread it seems you will have to buy a classic controller to play some VC games to my dismay they way they have configured the controls for some games doesnt take advantage of the Gamecube controller you can still use the gc controller but it is really annoying for games like super mario world (snes) where u have to hold the run button & jump run is Y & jump is B you try pressing both with jus your thumb its rather awkward, shame there isnt an option in the game for button config that would b much better then you could setup the games to suit the GC controller
suppose i will have to get the classic one 11.99 aint bad though i thought it would b more than that.

Can't believe no-one else has one.... did you all have Game Cubes?!

I like it but find it a little too big, can be a bit of a stretch with the left thumb on the analogue stick playing Mario Kart.

Need to find a better way of holding it I guess but overall it's a good controller IMO

Never had a game cube, but I got 2 controllers just for the Wii. Local indepent gameshop= £15 the pair! but I still want the classic controller for 3 player Mario Kart

have you downloaded SMW from the VC??

try playing that on a GC controller! the buttons are configured all wrong!

to play SNES games easily, you NEED the classic.

if Nintendo follow through the SNES button layout to new releases you may find that it becomes an essential purchase. . . .

Do you really think Google or Apple really care where you are going everyday? I dont get all the fuss over the location stuff. I really dont think these huge companies care about where each and every user is at all times. Sounds like they use the data they receive from the location tracking to make our lives easier. Does what a good ad is supposed to do. Moving inspiring. Makes you want it. It must be very affirming since after it came out everybody was "why would I want this?" ~ make dvd on mac (http://www.dvdburnerformac.com/) I could always thought if you were on a developer account to download and install the beta? dev its not against the rules people to your account to add, and if you are on a dev account gives you access to download the beta. Theres no illegal downloading of property there. Well, if they have a torrent site to find out where the OS will then yes that is illegal, but I do not think to ask, on a dev account breaks all laws.

Well, I like RockMelt at work, because it keeps Facebook in a place where people around me don't recognize the edges as being Facebook. I still had to bring FB up in the actual browser to write on friends' walls, and the way the bookmarks were organized made me crazy. Finally, RockMelt failed to retail my login info for Facebook and other sites, so every time I restarted the browser, I had to reenter all that, whereas Safari just handles it. I have the RockMelt app, and it's OK. But the FB app is pretty cool already and I think I'll probably stick with Safari (which I almost never need) and the FB app. backup blu-ray (http://www.bluraymoviecopy.com/) Last week I scored three (got the third for free) for $10. Google Local search and Lifetime Map updates brings Magellan closer to being on par with TomTom. Throwing in the Yelp feature sweetens the deal! dvd ripper for mac (http://www.dvdripformac.com/) It's a shame the license had to get in the way here. From my understanding the issue was that the license requires that the app is freely distributable. Meaning if I have the iPad version I could give it to someone else directly. Why would that even be necessary if they can get it just as easily from the app store for free? Dumb restrictions making a good app unavailable to all who don't jailbreak.

It's so clean and really impressive. It can be a little clunky at times however, or maybe I just follow/have too many followers for it to load.
