I heard a rumor that the reason all the orders are coming late is becasuse Nintendo released it too soon. They haven't had time to make enough consoles to meet the orders. Is this true, or is it just a rumor?

rumor tbh I sware manufactures hold back to create the damand!
manufactutures always make less than what they should do, but its also retailers faults for over selling

Nowhere near as bad as the 360 release tho! At least there have been several deliveries to stores b4 xmas.
hmm i got the impression xbox 360 release went well, they are verywhere!! always have been, with all discounts on them or free games if you buy console, so i thought xbox made to many

360s launch was better than wii's launch.I just walked in and bought one a few days after launch its impossible to get the wii like that.
yh thats what i thought, xbox 360 had too many consoles made lol

Any manufacturer could sit back and stockpile consoles until they could cover the demand at launch. If nintendo had done this then you would have had to wait a couple of extra months anyway.

my mate had the best luck ever with a 360... had problems with his pre-order like with the wii... none anywhere to be found leading up to christmas.... his brother works in blockbuster.
a few days after the release 4 or 5 a guy came into blockbuster and traded a 360 in (clearly stolen... who the hell wud do that) but then within a minute my mates brother rang him and told him to come straight over... he got the xbox 360 and hard drive for about £165 cos it was 'second hand' and 'pre-owned'
how lucky and insane is that
