I Pre ordered my Wii in early November and was told i would recieve it on release date, when it didnt arrive i phoned and they said "delivery had been moved to the 18/12/06", when it still hadnt arrived yesterday i phoned back to be told that "due to unforseen demand they are unable to supply the said item untill 25/01/07"!!
I am at my wits end, my 8 year old little boy still believes in father xmas, we have tried explaining that santa may not be able to get him one and he just looked happy and said "but the elves make them, so dont worry as i have been really good all year" when we explained that the elves may not know how to make them he replied "but mum they are magical!"
How does any parent cope with that!!!

Yes, thats quite a problem  my mum and dad ordered it at HMV AND studio both saying they would get it before christmas and both gave me the dreaded letter last week. My advice would be to get up rather early whenever they're rumours of stock and look around in your city centre. That seemed to work for me today

I have same problem with my nine year old daughter. Whats worse is she's been brought up on gamecube and is a big mario, wario, zelda fan.
My lads nearly eleven(past the santa phase) and is quite happy to wait. He thinks it's crazy paying more than retail when there will be loads after xmas. I think i'll treat them with extra games with money saved.
As for my daughter I keep telling her that santa is having an extraordinary busy year and may not be able to get her wii till after xmas.
The only other things she wanted was a roborapter(got that **** loads in tesco) + a biggest littlest pet shop Which I am finding rarer than a wii.
They sell for £35 in toysrus, on Ebay I've seen them for £70+£30 P.P
With the quote" HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE YOUR CHILD"
Well I'll be blunt not that much!!!
Going to spain 8) next xmas to chill out, then buy pressies in jan sales. kids will get twice as much and it will be stress free I hope :D

It's unlucky you didnt post the topic at 7:00, I would of bought 2 and sold one too you at a proper price. I was tihnking of doing that but i was using my dad's credit card so without good reason I wouldn't have bin allowed :?

i have ordered mine with uksoftwaretech. I agree it is overpriced at over £300 but I was let down by Grattan and my son desparately wants one so I was prepared to pay the price. I have phoned them this morning and I should be receiving it either today or tomorrow.

There are a couple of sites that still have wiis in stock. Check out studio 24 on the main page, it will dispatch within 2 weeks which is better than nothing. They also cost the retail price.

Don't give up hope yet!
I went into GAME this morning to ask if they had any and three hours of waiting later I walked out with one. I'd be inclined to give up on online stores....even if they suddenly appear on Amazon or elsewhere they sell out too quickly and besides its getting so close to Christmas now you don't want to be at the mercy of the postman.
Much better to ring round your local Game, Gamestation etc stores each morning to ask if they're expecting any in. The situation changes daily and whilst one day they might tell you there's no chance of getting one before christmas the next day they could say a delivery is coming in....thats what happened to me anyway.

If you have to wait a couple of weeks may aswell not order.
Go into a store and get one in your hands no crappy delivery status.
There will be shed loads after xmas.Hey maybe even get one for £100
in jan sales. That would **** off alot of wiibayers who got sucked into
the shark feeding frenzy
I reckon best bet if you dont mind waiting till just after Xmas is to look on ebay....all those evils who have bought some and wont sell by xmas day will have to sell at discounted rate!!...teeheehee!
