INTERNET HELP !?!?!?!

well when i got my wii i tried to connect it to the internet. but when it had a conection test it came up with.....

I'd start with your router, go to the admin site for it on your pc and check what mac/IP address restrictions you might have in place. Check the password used for access if secured and what sort of encryption is being used.

Right after having my wii for a couple of months now and updating as required i tried to update the new opera browser but it comes up with the same error code as above. Nothing has changed with my router or set up but it won't connect!!!!!! Any ideas much appreciated as im sure theres a host of mii's queing up to get in :(

Okay, firstly Tazz, I think Heapy's right. Check your router's settings to see if WEP security is enabled. If it is you need to check what the password is for this and then set up a new wireless connection on your Wii, then enter the password when prompted.

Twintin, for some reason I had a lot of trouble downloading this when I tried. It worked in the end but I'm not really sure what the problem was. I think I ended up going to the Wii settings and testing the connection which worked fine and then it finally let me download Opera.
