It seems theres still little hope for all our members still trying to get there hands on a Wii. A statement today from Nintendo's VP of marketing and corporate affairs Perrin Kaplan has said that we should expect Wii shortages to last for the foreseeable future :( .
Speaking in a Podcast (http://www.gametheoryshow.com/) she said “There is a lot going on behind the scenes in terms of working on what we are producing and the numbers continue to rise, but the product is so very popular that we may see the situation last for some time.”
The Wii has been out for 5 months and still the short supply continues. In the PS3's third week in the UK the Wii has the PS3 by 8,000 units. So it seems the consoles popularity and demand for it is still very strong which should be taken as good news, even for those still trying to get hold of one.
