Game not honouring all preorders

Had the dreaded email from game. Saying i'm not getting one before xmas. I ordered on the 23rd nov so anyone around then should start looking elsewhere if you havn't had an email.
I got this email in response to the question "why are they putting them on general sale before honouring their preorders."
Amazingly they still havn't given me an answer :cry:
I have now cancelled my order with them an sent them a bollocking.
What makes it worse is they emailed me days ago saying be patient we will be getting more before xmas+ the *******s sent me a wiimote through the post which was part of the order.What the **** am I going to do with that. Maybe i should go to a game store and ram it up one of the staffs ****.(I'll probably pick the one who wears the big bunch of keys on his belt and thinks he's cool, or thinks he's some kind of gatekeeper ****) :twisted:

I have just ordered my Wii from uksoftwaretech. They have 61 in stock and they are £299 plus about £7 delivery. Hop I will get it before christmas I am going to ring and check tomorrow. I know this is a bit pricey but it is cheaper than alot of places at the moment.

i orderd mine on the 11th of november and ive got th same email!! it has annoyed me imensley!! i will complain as they did promise me it will be here this week!

Thanks but I will wait till i can get one at retail. I don't buy into this piecemeal buying frenzy. Just think of the games you can buy with the over the top price :D

i ordered mine online from game on the 22nd october and also got the dreded email , however today i got an email informing me that my console has been despatched today so i'll keep you informed regarding honouring pre orders

You will be able to hold your head up high after xmas saying to yourself
that you wern't shafted on ebay or by game etc.
Wouldn't it be great if all those ******s putting them them on ebay got lumbered with them

Got the Damned email from game

What I don't get it is, do they not relise that it is going to sell?!?!?!?!?!??!!?!? it happens with EVERY game console so you would think next time they would make more!!!!!! but no.

its very annoying for us who have orderd it for a while and have been told it will be here elease, then promised it to be here before christmas, and now not till january!!

I am extremely dissapointed at both game and nintendo.

I concider myself a nintendo fan and have always loved and bought nearly every console they've released. But to hype the Wii up so much then fail to supply the demand? I remember not so long ago pointing and laughing at all the PS3 Fanboi's because sony couldn't create PS3 consoles fast enough to meet demands. Well at least sony had an excuse in that they couldn't get the blue-ray chips fast enough, what's nintendos excuse?

And I am extremely annoyed at Game's sheer greed in taking on too many pre-orders before they even had an idea of how many units they would be supplied with. They just shot themselves in the foot with that one and am sure many will be taking their business elsewhere because of it.
I'm also extremely angry that they are not honoring pre-orders and in some places people are just walking into their local game shop and picking one off of the shelf?

I pre-ordered a Wii but got dissapointment, perhaps I filled in the wrong web form.

I'd like to think of 2006 as the year Nintendo almost got it right, perhaps a little more collaboration between both the retailers and nintendo and everyone would be sitting down enjoying their Wii's!

PS. sorry for the rant, but like all of you am pretty ticked off about this whole situtation.

I’m afraid greed has a lot to do with it and Microsoft of all things, last year with the fiasco of the 360 caused the stupid prices we saw on eBay now its Nintendo’s fault.

If there was enough to meet the demand then these eBay junkies wouldn't be able to add 200-300 quid on top of the RRP, that why there are people with 10-20 consoles they are selling at 370-450 quid that’s a big profit to be made by literally doing nothing except listing.

So I blame Nintendo not Game but then again you can see why manufactures do it, create a demand then everyone wants something them can't get...

just phoned local Game store in Barnet and they had a delivery this morning and sold in in 15mins!...guy said best to try around stores but would have thought all gone by now!...do hope they honour their preorders first as that would be a very bad show indeed! :cry:

take your business elswhere. Even if you have to wait they don't deserve it

hi guys, well it actually arrived 10.30am this morning.Now i have to wait a week to play. I sincerly hope you all have the luck i have had and you all get yours in time for christmas. I didnt mention yesterday that i emailed game wanting to know when the next delivery date was, where i was in the queue, and those who were in front of me when did they place their order. I dont know if this helped with me getting mine in time but its worth ago guys.
so on my part game are honouring pre-orders..just thought i'd let you know

Maybe stores should stop taking pre-orders altogether? First come-first served. If you really want one, then queue. Could this solve the heartache of getting the dreaded email from Game and the like?
