Wii Update on Games?

I was reading in another forum that when people have bought SSX Blur and put it inside the Wii to play it has performed a system update?

Does anyone know if this is true?

If this is the case I will rent this game and update my Wii as i do not have it connected to the internet at home.

i personally feel that if this is the case then it is a good idea as the Wii owners that don't have internet have a chance to update their machine.

Maybe it will be like PC games when they come with the latest version of Direct X incase the buyers dont have it.

haven't heard about ssx blur doing this, but a German friend had something similar with a copy of Eledees. . . . .

It's like the PSP where games will have a firmware update on the UMD if it is needed to run the game.

SSX didnt do it on my machine, but i am connected to the tinternet
