Hold on to your sides guy's when you read this article from The Sun, your gonna laugh so load its gonna hurt. Sony were getting so desperate to get a crowd gathered for the launch, so to save face they gave away a £2000 TV to over 100 gamers, how desperate must Sony be :lol: :lol: :lol:

Yeah i heard about that on the news, i thought, wow you basically make money if you get the £2000 TV, they've gotta be really desperate, but they have shortened they're market with the price. Anyone think Blueray will kick off loads like DVD's? Or just sink with mindiscs?

blue ray-probably not, how much does an average blue ray player cost?
dvd players can be picked up at tesco for about £15-20, blue ray i'm guessing are in their hundreds?

My prediction, if you're interested:

a) Blue-ray will take off and replace the DVD. Blue-ray players will drop in price in a few years' time and Sony will buy the blue-ray players in the PS3 from dedicated manufacturers.

b) Blue-ray will not take off and the PS3 will continue to be expensive to produce making price-drops tricky.

Probability of a: 15% - people love gadgets and the media love PS
Probability of b: 85% - people won't want to replace their DVDs so soon

There are certainly no shortages of the ps3, you can easily walk into a shop that sells them and pick one up.

I was one of those people i got a ps3 to but i dont like it its the same as a 360 but that sony hd ready telly was good.
