PSP V's Wii Graphics

Over at SegaNerds.com (http://www.seganerds.com/2007/03/21/psp-vs-wii-an-alien-syndrome-graphics-battle/) an interesting battle of the graphics between Sony's handheld console, the PSP, and the Nintendo Wii has been brought up. The comparison has been made with the upcoming Alien Syndrome from SEGA. It could be a case that the Wii is a new console and the developers have been a bit lazy with their programming, but the Wii should be better than a PSP.

It's getting on my nerves that developers seem to be lazy with the Wii's graphics at the moment. I hope they're just finding their feet with the new hardware.

thats slightly annoying as you would expect the wii to have better, if not alot better graphics than the psp, i hope your right huzzellio because it's gonna put me off some games.

Yeah i dont quite understand why Wii's developers arnt using Wii's capable graphics to the fullest either. Maybe in a few mounths they'll show us the real potentional.

Can't see much of a difference thats probably due to the game though really, cos they've used the same style. Not because of the consoles.

I have been disapointed with Wii graphics. I saw a PS3 running today with a game called 'Downfall' or something (i'm not very up-to-date with rival consoles) and it was very pretty and far better than games that i expected to be graphically impressive on the Wii - see: Zelda.

Nintendo always leave something out with there console unfortunely its the graphics.

look if im honest i think psps graphics are better then the wiis graphics. the wiis graphics could be imporved like on baseball the crowd are just circles.

Anyway the wii is the best console ever to be sold.
And the graphics dont bother me that much anyway

I thought I'd shack this discussion up again with this interesting article I read at Newsweek.com (http://blog.newsweek.com/blogs/levelup/archive/2007/05/08/geek-out-xbox-uber-boss-robbie-bach-takes-a-shot-at-nintendo-s-underpowered-wii-does-he-manage-to-score-a-bulls-eye-or-just-shoot-himself-in-the-foot.aspx). Robbie Bach, President of Microsoft's Entertainment and Devices division makes the statement about the Wii:

"The challenge they have is that third parties aren't going to make much money on this platform because Nintendo is going to make all that money, and their ability to compete with something like a Halo or produce an experience like Madden on their system is going to be tough. They don't have the graphics horsepower that even Xbox 1 had. So it makes sort of the comparison set a little bit difficult."
