I've just seen that too whilst looking for my local store phone number. I rang them and they said that they may be getting some in stores overnight but they don't know how many and it will be 1st come 1st served. 8am opening.

There was a mega fun pack on their site so if they are doing bundle that may be one of them. Have checked ebay and the Cars game and the GT game with steering wheel could be sold on at about £60 leaving the console, wii play (with controller) and wii sports for a net cost of about £230. Not ideal but OK.
Would prefer to get the bits seperately though.

Hi, im new here, frantically trying to find a wii just like everyone else!

I live in es***/london and have found out that the only 2 tescos near here which will be stocking the Wii are Beckton and Pitsea, both of which are expecting stock before xmas but have no idea when!

Just phoned my local Toys R us in lakeside and they said yes there are Wiis going on sale tomorrow, stock is very limited and the man said he is expecting q's with someone even saying they are coming down at 2am.

Now thats too early for me, i was thinking about 6am as they open at 8am, do you guys think thats too late and is there any point?

On another note, phoned my local Asda Living and they said they had a delivery the other day and are expecting another one but don't know when. The guy said something about their other delivery being late so they are expecting this one to be late too. When it does come in it will be about 3.30pm...

Asda in Dagenham are expecting stock on monday, normally comes in between 9/10am or 10pm so prehaps thats a better bet than Toys are Us.

Not sure if its true but i just heard 50 per store at Toys R Us. Seems a lot as their are quite a lot of TRU in the uk and stock is meant to be limited

Just pestered Toys R Us again and the guy I spoke to told me that whenever he asks the management how many they will have on sale "they just smile". He thinks that means there will be a lot.

Have set my alarm for 6.

edit: Cross post. 50 sounds good. Fits in with what I was told. Tesco have been getting about 30 each so 50 is not inconceivable. I still think it may be bundles though.

football match in the car park @ 12.30 this morning (in between the rain)

Manager came out @ 7 Dished out Tickets to the first in the q ( £250 package) until they were all gone and comes out every ten minutes to let any new arrives that the have all gone - they could have sold 390 not just 39

I went down to my local toys r' us in hayes, at 5.30am, and was still no.69 in the list!!! :(
But I had no worrys because toys r' us had told me that they would definately be getting 80 consoles. :D Infact most people there were told either a definate 51 or 80. :)

Got to Milton Keynes Toys R Us at 7am and got ticket #46 out of #47. A woman who decided to queue behind us despite no tickets was handed #5 by someone from the front. They must have been given too many. There were kids running up to join the queue with big smiles on their faces only to be sent home with a £5 consolation voucher. Even saw people screeching up in their cars at 8.05am. Maybe they were late staff.

It was bundles only. I got the Red Steel package which was basic package plus Red Steel and 2 games of my choice. Got Zelda and Monkey Ball. Keeping Zelda and will offload the other 2. The price was £290 but a guy who was turned away handed us some photocopied £10 off vouchers.

Best of luck to everyone else here. Asda sounds the best bet to me.

well, what a night! I went to Swansea toys r us

i was FIRST excluding what i assume was staff (there were 5 names down allready on the list despite the fact i got there first). I left stupidly early after hearing on here that at half 12 the bristol queue was full. Me and my girlfriend got there at quarter to one!!! the next people to arrive were a couple at quarter to 2 then 3 uni students at 3. It got really busy at around 5am and i witnessed them give out the last ticket at 7am...

The bundle on offer was 289.99 and included the console, wii sports, zelda, and 2 games of ur choice (dependent on if their left, they seemed not to have a great stock of games). I believe they had 44 consoles.

i was first through the door and picked up red steel (one of 18 left) and wii play (one of 4 left) and also picked up some extras. One hell of a long and draining night and as soon as I got home (about 9) ive been in bed until now and im just about to crack the console open and have a go.

I got:

Nintendo Wii Console (wii sports)
Zelda
Red Steel
Wii Play (free remote)
1gb SD memory card
classic controler (ready for downloading)

it all came to £335

Well done Wiill. That's a long night. My Red Steel and Super Monkey Ball are now on ebay to try to reduce my debt. Sports and Zelda will keep me going plus I have ordered a couple of cheap Xbox games in case I couldn't land a Wii. Will probably aim for the GameCube back catalogue after that as I've never played any of their games and they should be good value.

Resident Evil 4 Is Channel 4 Teletext's game of last year by a long way so that was always gonna be my 1st choice.

If you don't read the teletext you should. Pages 305 - 309 on Ch4 or 805 - 809 on ITV if you have Sky. Updated daily and the letters page is twice daily on week days (update is at 5). It'll keep you up to date on all games related stuff.

I got my Wii!!

Turned up at 5.45am and was about number 25 in the Q. Told they had 38, turned loads of people away. I got the pix n mix deal so Wii, Zelda, Sports and two games of my choice (Rayman and Call of Duty). Bought an extra remote today at Game...£33" bloody hell! but worth it.Its even better to play than I though it would, I love the tennis.

I heard that es*** fm put a call out to everyone yesterday pm to tell them about the deal at toys r us basildon. More than 100 people turned up, most were disapointed.

Mine was from Milton Keynes Toys R Us. I only live 5 mins drive from it but there were people there who had travelled quite far. One guy had a long journey north to make so he was stopping at all Toys R Us until he got to one with a queue where he waited (which was ours).

Just sold my 2 spare games on ebay. Got £65 total which is not great but OK. Wouldn't have minded trying them but they sell better sealed.
