Just wondering if anyone here saw the lunar eclipse last night? it looked very beautiful and of course i was out there snapping away :D got very cold out there for three hours and also a sore neck this morning lol.
So yeah anyone else see it?

Dang! those pictures are high in quality and detail. Looks like you sat on your roof to get a closer shot. or maybe the camera has a good zoom.
Missed last nights eclipse *boo* but thanks for the shots. I remember the last total eclipse, was it around 1999/2000? We went down to Cornwall to experience complete darkness at about 11am, madness. It confused the hell out of the seagulls who flew a mile or two out to sea, realised daylight had returned as quickly as it had left.

11th august 1999, my 12th birthday went to watch es*** play middle*** with my dad and grandad, play was delayed because of the light :D but that was a solar eclipse not a lunar eclipse.

i saw a solar eclipse not so long ago in France when i went on holiday. I was staying at mates when this one took place and i didn't know it was happening so we went outside to go to garage to get some beers and there it was, blood red in the sky. at first we were like huh what the hell then we recognised the appearence of the moon to pictures we saw.

yeah i seen it was up my friends house with my family. went out side for a moment but was to cold so went back in! it was cool looking but i dont really understnad alot about the moon

didn't even know that there was going to be one but did see it yeah, we were down by a river somewhere when we noticed the moon was half red, did look cool.
Dave those are some very cool pictures you got, I tried with my cameraphone but that was crap.

I didn't know it was happening until a few hours before either lol not much was said about it, i was lucky it came after i got my new camera so meant i had my zoom lens :D still had the crop it a lot to get the moon that size in the photos

something i forgot to post yesterday on here for anyone who is interested three of my lunar eclipse photos were published in my local paper this week :D

they have a 'Photo of the Week' section where members of the public send in photos taken in the area and then they choose one to put in the paper each week, i have sent photo in twice and been in the paper twice :D
