hey guys, just seeing if you lot like my style of review, not used to game reviews as i usually do instruments or model railways, you will all know this already but hey, here goes:

The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess is the next along the line of the critically acclaimed series of games! its one people have known about since the beginning of 2003 and its been titled the most eagerly game title...EVER!!
Originally designed for the game cube, it is also due to be released on the 8th along with the Wii version and the Wii console itself!
the Game cube version being similar in control and maneuvering to previous titles like Windwaker but the graphics are not cel-shaded this time around which a lot of people are happy about. The Wii version will encompass the wireless technology and the online feature from which you can download extra items, Armour and even new sub quests, although this hasn’t been confirmed as yet.
In Twilight princess you will see many familiarities, like enemy targeting and the presence of a fairy, although this time around the fairy is your pointer (like an arrow on your PC ) to access start menu areas and to navigate menus. All the items you are used to like: boomerang, bow and arrow, hookshot and of course the all important bottles are also included, but Nintendo have decided to re-introduce the oil lamp into the game, which can be used as light or fire source, but you don’t have to use oil, some enemies will leave a residue when they are killed which can be bottled and re-used in the lamp.
As well as familiar items, there are also familiar enemies, like the bokoblins and stalfos, but of corse Nintendo have come up with a new range of twilight monsters, along with a new big bad guy aswell as anondorf, who has been in most Legend of Zelda games. There is also a new guide to replace Navi or king of red lions, now you have midna, a helpful little creature who’s aids include enemy and item information, and the ability to help you reach new places that you wouldn’t get to without her.
Another new feature of Twilight Princess is another world, like in ‘a link to the past’, twilight princess has a twilight realm where evil rules, when link enters this realm, he transforms into a vicious wolf, which is fairly new to a Zelda Game, although not dissimilar to Majoras mask.
There is 70-90 hours of gameplay depending if you decide to do the side quests or not and if you was to walk from one side of hyrule field to the other as link, it would take 45 minutes to complete, which makes this the biggest Zelda game so far! There is around 9 dungeons which all should quench the gamers thirst for action and puzzles, so this is definitely keeping to the Zelda traits.
What is found to disappoint is the apparent lack of graphics, which is mainly due to the fact that the game was originally for the gamecube, its also been said that Nintendo only quickly threw in the wireless control, but seeing what can be achieved and the variety of different motions involved, there was definitely a lot of thought into the control.
From what I’ve head and seen, I would easily give this game a good 9.4/10 or 94% (depending on which format you like) so overall a good game to look out for, it’s a definite must buy, if you haven’t pre ordered it already

Nice foz, though I must say that to walk from one side of Hyrule to the other is now estimated 45 minutes, not 5 anymore! things are growing.
If that is right, about downloading armour + quests etc. will we have to pay for the downloads with our credits? I don't like the idea of having to pay extra for a game we already bought.

It's great that members are making reviews, but please wait until you have the console, Otherwise it defeats the purpose of a review. The term review dummed down literaly means a commentary on a subject or item that someone has actually seen, used or read etc.

Besides it's not that long until the console anyway, for anyone.

hey its a pre release review, supported by admin lol, and yh as a first pre release game review it was difficut, especialy ince im so used to a different audience lol

i did say that the graphics were a bit lacking but i also said the game was started in 2003, so being that far back, but having the graphics it has is still a big acheivment

it seems it is still uncertain weather it will be free or not, this is what i found:

Downloadable content, such as additional levels.

However to the question if he'd heard any plans for any type of post-release online component for Twilight Princess, he responded:

I haven't heard of anything yet. I think everyone is still busy trying to make sure the game gets out correctly.

So basically this probably means that sometime in the future we're getting downloadable content, but as for now, Nintendo apparently haven't started to make any.

Harrison also said the the game will be around 70 hours long, which is significantly longer than Windwaker. And should be long enough to keep most people busy for a while, whether we'll get to download new levels or not.

Yeah, that's alright then. I heard that Gamespot (i THINK) clocked up around 70 hrs just from the main quest, and there'sa a ton of subs already ingame anyway. If there are any downloadables I think I'll end up getting them anyway, just cos I'm a bit of a Zelda maniac!

Zelda : Twilight Princess

Zelda twilight princess is a great action/adventure platformer for the Nintendo Wii, It involves loads and loads of different problems and quests that have to be solved despite the fun side of things.

At the start of this game your really just exlopring your home village "Ordon" and solving a series of problems with friends around the village but then the Zelda style gaming kicks into play and then things start getting interesting. The basic storyline is this: The hole land has been infected by twilight, and Link (you) has been chosen by the gods to forfill the light and seaze the twilight by basically collecting vessels of light in a sereis of different area's restoring them back to normal.

Well thats a litle bit about the story side of things lets talk about how Twilight princess and the Wiimote + nunchuck come into things..
This game takes a big advantage with the new Wii style technology, for example walking around is pretty much the same using a joy stick on the controller but battleing and attacking various monsters is a hole different expiriance.

Okay now, as you probably know already twilight princess is still text and not actual speech personally i think its fine and very originall which is what zelda is all about so i dont really care however you might?

Another great aspect to this game is you dont just play as Link you take mpart in playing as different species and take part in different rolls which also effects your gaming style.

This game is a definat must buy if you own or are going to get a wii in the near future.

I hope this VERY short review gave you a little insite to the magnifisant game Zelda: twilight princess.
