Tesco Extra Stores

Hello

My friend from Tesco has said that some Tesco Extra stores (Tesco Extra are the bigger style Tesco) are getting Wii stock this week. A store in Southampton had some yesterday. Best bet is to give your local Extra store a call to see if they can say when they are getting some or when they are going on sale. Blag them a bit, say that you phoned head office in Cheshunt and they put you on to this store.

Anyone in the Watford or Milton Keynes area should try ASAP as he thinks that they should be getting some before the weekend.

Hopefully he's right and you get some.

Now to work on a friend at Amazon.....

FYI

Tesco in Solihull said only 20 Tesco are stocking Wiis and they were not one of them.

Tesco Arena @ Coventry said they would not have any until after Christmas.

I have just phoned my local Extra store in Borehamwood and have been told also that they are expecting some in later this week. I know the Manager of a store who is also on the lookout. If I am able to get some I will and will sell them at no profit to people on here, as you guys have been extremely helpful to me. Lets all keep everything crossed! :wink:

They had 33 in 20 minutes ago so we may be out of luck... been phoning them all morning saying when they would put them out and then they go and do it without letting me know....

dont know if anyone on here will be interested but my neighbour managed to get me a wii. As you know I had to pay over the odds for the one that will be delivered to me tomorrow. I dont like to do this but the reason why I got my neighbour to get me a wii is because I could well do without having to spend £310 on it as the only reason I did it was because my neice was so ill and I had no idea that I would actually get one at the RRP. Anyway, what I am saying is if anyone on here wants the one I will be getting tomorrow with invoice for proof of warranty for the amount that I paid, which is £310 plus postage then please let me know. Otherwise I will put on ebay. It may not be of much benefit I know, but at least you can see my feedback as my username is joyoge and have some peace of mind. I would have asked my neighbour to get the one left but he does not have the money in his account...they sold the 15 they got in in 10mins!!! :cry:

this is seriously annoying, i am sure they are all gone now in all the stores. someone gets them in puts them up, people that work there text there mates, mates come in, ebay has more stock....

I did try to let others know and if I had been in the store I would have bought a couple and sold at RRP to people on here...the only reason I am asking for what I paid is coz I paid over the odds in the first place. :oops:

The most annoying thing is Ive missed 50+ Wii's today after being on the phone to 5 diffirent branches of Tesco's

The best thing is they've given me the run around... what reward did I get for phoning before to find out if they had stock and when it would arrive...

They tell me they've sold it to random strangers after a tannoy announcement in store.... FECKIN IDIOTS... talk about fueling ebay...

After reading someone else say if they can get hold of any at retail price and then sell them on to people in here for the same, I am willing to do the same. Well, once mine finally gets here, charity starts at home!

If I can get any I will sell them, it is the season of goodwill after all!

I am still on to the Manager that I know of a Tesco store to see if he has managed to keep me one...he has called me today but I cannot get hold of him now but if he has one I will put it on here for RRP plus postage. Why oh why do the manufacturers do this at Christmas time!...just not fair on the kids...oh...and grown ups of course! :roll:

Just spoke to Milton Keynes Tesco and they said that they have no new stock and aren't expecting any until after Xmas.

Comet said that they may get some in on Friday as did Toys R Us.

popped in Game store in Barnet on way in to work this morning and their latest update is to keep an eye on their website as they have no news re any being delivered to stores...not much help, sorry! :cry:

Yeah I emailed game again trying to get an update on where my pre order is. The guy replied saying that they are still waiting for confirmation from nintendo of their stock so that he can tell me where I am in the pre order queue. (I pre ordered on 16th Nov online)

Anyone else heard anything from game?

they are getting a delivery of nintendos this week for pre orderd online people only, i orderd on the 11th november, not far off you Artist, im aiting for a reply about it at the moment, ill post it when i get it

Slough tesco are brilliant, i went in on thursday 7th at 9:30 and was already a 18 people waiting then asked guy managing the line, n he said were getting 40 min :D. Got my wii as they got 44 in the end, but he said they would be expecting some before xmas there too but not sure how many. Tbh game suck with these kinda things, shame how people preordered 2 months beforehand and got nothing, i figured it would happen why i stuck it out n waited for gd ol tescos :).

Just had a phone call from my wife. She was in Tesco Extra Llantrisant this morning and picked one up, plus an extra remote and nunchuk. To say I'm overjoyed is an understatement. To anyone in the area I would keep checking this store as it seems the only one in the area that has them.
Can't wait to get home from work!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they wont let you buy more than one so take a friend!!...still keeping me ears to the ground re Borehamwood branch...will phone them every day...if anyone else wants to try the number is 08456779069 they got two deliveries yesterday and they were both unexpected so you never know! ask for computer gaming department but you cannot pay over the phone and they may, if they get them, keep it for up to an hour....I just phoned and they sold their last one about 1 hr ago...nobody went up there like I suggested last night, so it sat on the shelf all night!!!

keep phoning...try at 4ish...you just have to keep on the ball and if you say you have been every day and tried again lunchtime, they may even hold it for an hour or so, they did for a neighbour of mine...dont give up! :!:
