emo is short for emotional, in other words a Goth who slits his wrists...I'm guessing.
I'm into all kinds of music, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, a lot of classic rock, mod-rock, indie, hard-house, techno, drum 'n bass...

I do find 'The Cheeky Girls' work to be often underated. Maybe its the fact they look like supermodels that detracts from their music. I hear one maybe soon to launch a solo project. watch this space!

OK on a more serious note, love the first 2 Pearl Jam albums. I saw the Pixies a couple of years ago, and their stuff was amazing, timeless. I think the new Arctic's record will rock this summer.

I went and saw Hayseed Dixie in Brighton on Saturday night, opening night of their tour. Crazy, hillbilly, redneck southern states rock. With Banjo, Mandolin, ukulele and acoustic guitar. They mixed in some weird covers, from Greenday, Sir Cliff of Richards, *** Pistols, Led Zep and the Beatles Strawberry Fields
Recommended. Check em out.

Ah, my real passion. I'm a huge music fan and I listen to a lot of weird and wonderful stuff that most people haven't heard of!
My tastes range from the heaviest of heavy metal (Strapping Young Lad, Opeth, etc.) to the cheesiest of pop (eg. Prince!). I'm also into some really crazy progressive stuff like Frank Zappa, Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, etc. and lots of more 'straightl' rock stuff like Jeff Buckley, John Butler Trio, etc.

Unfinished Sympathy and Teardrop are two of my
all time favourite tunes..
I've been listening to loads of Kasabian lately..
If I find something I like I listen the death out of it
until I get bored of it..
Has anyone heard of Scroobius Pip..?
He's an absolute legend:-D

Unfinished Symphony is an incredible tune, definitely in my top ten ever. Teardrop is good too but made better by the brilliant video!
I'm a bit of a sucker for 80s sounds so I'm really into Ladyhawke's album which blends a modern sound with an 80s rock/pop edge. My Delirium is a brilliant track!

Absolute Radio isn't a bad station, especially on a 'no repeat' day.
They are a little too obsessed with Nickleback though

I've been keeping tabs on a new band called One eskimO who just released their debut album which for me has been a great album to chill out too.
The brainchild of singer/songwriter Kristian Leontiou, One eskimO arrives with an impressive breadth of imagination that instantly marks them as something extraordinary. The band's self-titled debut is an ambitious and affecting collection of widescreen modern pop, alive with iridescent textures and intricately created songcraft. Songs like 'Hometime' and the buoyant 'All Balloons' are moving and expressive, touching upon such universal themes as love and heartbreak, success and failure. As if that weren't enough, the release comes in tandem with a full-length animated film. One eskimO's unorthodox self-visualization only serves to add idiosyncratic color and character to a beguiling musical work already abounding with invention and emotion.
in general i'll listen to most things but cuurently it's been the above, The Prodigy, Kings of Leon, P!nk's M!ssundaztood album oh and Ibizia 99: The Year of Trance (disc 2) has been great too.
Radio DJ's, I enjoyed Mark & Lard too they were great as was Steve Wright back in his Radio 1 days, i've heard him on Radio 2 and although they try it's not the same... I enjoy Chris Moyles in
the morning and download Scott Mills podcasts which are amusing to listen too during my lunch at work.

Good post Huzz...:D
I really like this song..
I had heard it before on the radio but
I didn't know who it was..
I didn't realise they are a British band..
They sound American to me..
I like the new wave of folk music that's
around at the moment..
Have you heard anything by The Fleet foxes or Vampire Weekend....??

Not so keen on Vampire Weekend to be honest, I can't help feel that their sound doesn't have a lot of depth to it, it's like they need a few extra layers or something (if that makes sense to you  ). I do quite like Fleet Foxes though, they are VERY different to anything else available in mainstream music at the moment.
