Hi,

I am new to this forum and have just purchased (hopefully!) a wii from a seller on ebay. He seems legit and he says he got it from Techplosion.co.uk. I just wondered if anyone knows what they are like for warranty returns if I have one. I also wondered if anyone knows what I will need via proof of purchase if it does develop a fault? I am very wary of ebay and have paid well over the odds for this unit. I wouldnt have done it by my little neice is very sick and this will cheer her up so much. Any help much appreciated,

Thanks

Hi yogi, nice to have you here. Firstly i also purchesed my Wii on ebay as i was desperate to have it in the home for xmas. However the supplier didnt tell me where he got it from, Have you checked the ebayers rating? good bad? and also how many successful deals he has done this is a good way of checking if the ebayer is legit or not. I cant answer your questions about technoplosion but im sure someone else on our forums would have a better insite of this company.

I'ts alright mate thats what Wiifind forums is all about! Im sure other users here will post better information regarding your question.
Do you have a link to the Wii console that you bought on ebay?

Oh and i hope your neice gets better!

never came accross the company before i started desperatly trying to find a wii.

When i was searching through loads of other forums (none as good as this one of course!) I came accross a few people saying that techsplosion was a fly by night company which took your money and then got the stock in.

So with that in mind and the fact that your ebayer has one from them it shows that they are actually better than other people have said.

so in short my post is pointless i now realise....

well I've paid for the item and should hopefully get Thursday. Can anyone tell me how my little neice can play the tennis game etc with another child, do we need another sort of control or something? also can anyone recommend anything else that is very good for the wii? sorry for my utter ignorance!

thanks :D

yep u will need multiple controllers, not sure if they will need the nunchuck extension as think i have seen people play with just the wiimote (controller).

Other games i would suggest looking for multiplayer sort of party games, maybe monkey ball and wii play. monkeyball looks amazing, wii play i havent seen.

yes you will need another wiiremote for each player, you wont need the nunchuk controller for wii sports and i do recomend wiiplay because it includes another wiiremote and it has some fun games on there, once again one remote for each player and no nunchuk controller needed

ye the wii sports (included with console) plays tennis, baseball, bowling, golf and boxing. you will need a remote for each player if you want to play with more than one person. however if you want to play boxing with 2 people you will need a remote and nunchuck each.

with wii play it is not necessary, but a nunchuck can be used
wii play includes: 'shooting range' (a simple point-and-click shooting game), 'find me' (a game where you have to spot a specific mii (your Wii avatar)), table tennis, pose mii (a game where you have to change the pose of your mii to suit different silhouettes), laser hockey (air hockey), Billiards (pool), Fishing, Charge! (make a cow run and nock over scarecrows) and Tanks!(you use shells and mines to destroy your opponent)

I personally dont think its worth buying another nunchuck, just to play boxing, but definately get hold of another remote - gamestation have remotes bundled with wiiplay game for £35 - not bad considering remotes are £30 a pop anyway....

oh and about the ebay thing, as long as you get the invoice you should be fine - wii come with a year warranty anyway, but you may want to call techsplosion as well do see if they have given any extended warranties out?

Thanks for that...I have actually spoken to Techpolosion and they didnt fill me with much confidence...they said that I would have to deal direct with Nintendo if I had a problem with the unit...the chap was very unsure of any information he was giving me....lets just hope it doesnt go wrong!

yeah, nintendo have a dedicated customer service line for the wii - and the one year guarentee will be from nintendo direct.. so you should be fine mate
