If someone edits the last post on a thread, does that become an unread thread and flash orange?

Thats not possible, what you can do is add a post saying you have updated a post then everyone can see it's been changed.......if thats what your trying to do :?

I'm not trying to do anything, but if I've just looked at a thread but not posted, and then the last person to post there edits it, will that thread flash orange 'cos it's new again, or will it not until there's a brand new post?

No it will be classed as a oldish post and wont become orange. Try it if you like but im sure it just stays white.

Unfortunately it will remain as it is until a new post is added. I know what you mean, I don't think the new forum software we got coming will be any different either.
