I know someone has said this in a letter to N Revolution issue 3, but I would like to see if anyone has comments and suggestions for future peripherals that could be made to work on the Wii.

My ideas.

1) A Lightsabre type of controller - preferably made tough enough (something like bullet proof aluminium, or titanium). Say something sword length, 39 - 42 inches long.

Game ideas this would be brilliant for: Star Wars, Dungeons and Dragons (e.g. role play)

2) A Shield - again, something made of metal rather than plastic. You could then play Legend of Zelda, Dungeons and Dragons etc with a shield.

I think these would work, as there is now the potential to start looking back to Virtual Reality. It might have been cruddy in the early / mid nineties but with Dual Core tech coming out Nintendo are paving the way to re-assess this type of gaming experience.

So please can anyone else think of peripherals that could expand the Wii console.

you do mean like different shaped controlers or shells don't you?

the way that redsteal is played at the moment means that, it wouldn't be hard to stretch these controls over to a type of sub-machine gun (MP5 say) or shotgun (foz) shaped remotes.
(my cusin made me put this) i don't think it'l work but can u imagine wearing sandle type shoes that when you move are used as an accelerator, brake and clutch?

or you could follow that through to something similar to the foot pedal systems you now get with steering wheel.

E.G. a small hard unit with two foot pedals with a 'clutch' on the left and a 'brake' on the right. it could even have a flexible arm coming out the top with another unit with two handles. Again, 'clutch' on left and 'brake' on right...

Why do you think these wouldn't work? I can't see why with the infra-red technology etc that is about now the boffins at Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft etc couldn't do this.

i don't mean a box thingy with three pendals on tht is wirless to the wii. i mean just wearing shoe things that could also be used to kick with in some fighting games (beat'em up maybe). however thay would be sooo uncomfy or you'd have to get one in your size which i think would be more expencive.

Yes, I agree with that...

It could just be a strap on thing, like an over shoe or something... Might have to wait till someone works out haw to make holographic circuitry.

i think they shoudl design some realistic sub-machine guns that are pritty cheap, they could have the anologye stick on the top (like the second shotgun) to walk around with and just point at side of screen to turn like redsteal. i would want them cheap so then you and one friend could just run around and shoot each other.

if anyone can try to design one and post it, would be cool.

Hmmm maybe you might kick the other player, but I was thinking of more aiming it at the TV - but then you might kick the TV.....

I've found that you need a LOT of space for playing some of the games....

I've also found that I am crap! I can't play half the Wii games for beans.... I bought SS: KFTKK, Rayman, COD 3, Red Steel, Monster 4x4, S M Ball, Wii Play and the Sports package.... I can only play the sports package with any ease, and so I think that maybe I shouldn't have gone for the super Wii package from GAME..... Ohh well, maybe I will get the hang of these games...

So far I'm playing Zelda: OoT from the Game Cube. I've gotten as far as Jabba Jabbas belly, and am now stuck 'in' it. Bugger!

Does anyone remember how long it takes the Magic Beans to do more than just sprout a couple of leaves? I bought four of the pods from that little gimp at the beggining of Zoras river, and planted one at the spot next to him, one near the home towns village bridge (when you go to the hidden forest)

and I think I planted one in the Korikiki graveyard.

All I have is four leaves...

Anyway.... getting back to the topic at hand...

I have found that the "attachments" that you can buy actually hinder the remote from working properly.... Has anyone else found this to be the case?
