Everybody Votes Channel

There's a new channel available to download today called Everybody Votes Channel. It's a channel that is easy to use, you just pick a topic, vote then see the results. The new channel will need to be downloaded from the same location as the Opera Browser, Wii Downloads page. From there your be required to do a system update before the channel can be downloaded.
A nice touch is the use of Mii's, you choice 6 to do the voting. It will then be a case of grabbing your Mii and dropping them on either side of a circle to cast your vote. You then get to see how others have voted. There are a couple of other features such as predicting the outcome of the voting and also seeing your voting history.
At the moment the questions are quite basic, but maybe in the future Ninty will use this to improve on there services.
Right now there are four active polls:

'How do you like your Egg : Boiled or Fried?'

'What do you prefer : Eating or Sleeping?'

'If you have free time do you : Go and party or stay in and relax?'

'Do you prefer dogs or cats : Dogs or Cats?'(worldwide question)

It might be a good idea to keep an eye out on these polls, incase we see any questions like "Would you like Goldeneye on the VC?" :lol:

The other one i cant remember but i had the cat and dog one.

It maybe depends on which region you choose in the settings. I defo chose england.

i've had a look at some screenshots of it, looks cutesy and very addictive, I can see some nice features too, wonder what future plans Ninty have for this channel.

Fair play Nintendo do keep very quiet about these things!

I think I know why we're getting different questions. Maybe not though.

At the top of the channel there's a bar with 5 options, one of which is "suggest a question". Maybe questions are being suggested in some areas but not the same in others?

I think I know why we're getting different questions. Maybe not though.
The questions will be different depending on which country your in. Earlier I had posted the questions that the US received.
Suggest a question give us the chance to request a future poll that Nintendo may add to the the channel at a later date, though that depends if they liked your suggestion or not.

This is a cool channel i like it, i also suggested 'should goldeneye be on VC?' perhaps we should have an area on here for 'everybody votes' so we can find out the answers of everyone on here

It seems the only news today is this Voting Channel being sprung on us. But its been hell of a story, particularly as Ninty kept this so quiet. The gaming press are running round in circles with their hands on their heads because it was a shock to them as well. Nice little touch though Ninty....we like to be kept guessing :wink:

They do say that Nintendo are the only games company who can keep a secret, and they are living up to that reputation with this gem. It's great fun and executed very well. It's not going to change the world but I think it's rather good.

I also hope Ninty take the hint about Goldeneye coming to the VC, lol. Shall we all also suggest this one too:

everyone must have been trying to get hold of the voting channel last night, I tried to get on but it took way too long to even connect to the shopping channel, in the end I thought it wasn't worth it just to answer some questions, so reset and played some wii sports before I went to work (I work Wednesday evenings)

lol, I enjoy Miami Vice but I'm afraid the linen suits don't do much for me, thelocaluk. That said, the linen suits were probably the best bit of 80's fashion, as long as shoulder pads and gold sequenced clothing doesn't make a come back I'll be contempt with that .

It is a pretty pointless channel, but the way it's presented makes all the differences.

I also voted for Dogs in the global vote!! Go dogs!!!!

I think the channel is just a pointless bit of fun at the mo but I like pointless fun! :D Only Ninty can come up with an idea like this and present it in such a fun way.

I think in the future it'll be used with more purpose along side the fun questions.

As for the worldwide vote, it's cats all the way!

It's just an extra bit of fun to see how "tuned in you are" to other voters, the questions are a bit pants but I like it all the same.
