Are GAME taking us for a ride...?

Went into my local Game store at Wolverhampton today. "7 Wii's delivered this morning, but all went by 9.15". I asked if I could join the waiting list, they said that they now had 200 people on it, and they don't even bother ringing anyone to tell them their Wii has arrived anymore. Apparently it's now company policy to sell the stock as soon as it comes in, rather than ring someone who's on the list... Go figure. I'll be checking this out.

Ever wondered why there are so many Wii's on Ebay and Amazon Marketplace etc? Could staff be buying themselves and shifting the stock to someone to resell in return for a few quid maybe...?

Just a thought. Surely this could happen with other consoles (PS3)

I've pre-ordered from GamePlay now. Hopefully, my wait will soon be over.

Funny that I was in a Game earlier in the week browsing, it was quiet so the 2 staff were talking. One of them said he was thinking of selling his Wii and was going to check the trade in price, the other said "No sell it on ebay you'll get more than you paid for it."

When I was still looking for my Wii I happened to be on GAME when they got 15 or so in.

Their console + one game offer was swiftly removed and replaced with a console + 3 games order for a quick buck.

Would be nice if the staff got sacked for selling them on ebay also....

Game are exploiting their customers to the fullest
nstead of selling just the console, the slap on a few games and stack up the prices

I used to shop at Game a lot but they are a pretty crap shop. I asked someone when they were getting any wii's in stock and he couldn't even tell me that :? . Maybe the some guy just turns up randomly and dumps a dozen of them
